Indeed. Edging is the best precum factory for me as well. All in varying degrees of frequency I get:
-very frequent transparent sticky droplets
-transparent sticky blotches (I guess its a big droplet)
-A big semitransparent drool oozing out (I guess its precum mingled with some cum)

Interesting thread-- I also get some variation in what comes out before the actual money shot. There is always the initial, completely clear viscous drops that trickle down the most direct downhill path. I have always had precum if excited for any length of time, with or without an erection. This a clear, sticky liquid.

If I get very close to cumming but do not quite do so, then I may get a flood of liquid looking very much like standard ejaculate, but not pumped out. If I have stopped short of actually ejaculating and orgasming, then it is possible to get this close and repeat the performance, which can be impressive to see. It is possible to deliberately contract the muscles to squirt out the liquid so it looks like cumming rather than an extended dribble. I have seen videos of guys apparently cumming repeatedly without any break and I think this is what they are doing. They get real close and then stop, but then squirt some white liquid.

I would imagine it is possible to get something somewhere between these two, a larger volume of the clear liquid without mixed in sperm. these come from different places, so logically it ought to be possible to separately have the bulking liquid without the sperm.

ejaculate is sometimes thick and sometimes watery. Dont know quite why, something to do with its chemistry. cumming under water seems to result in instant thick jelly. For me true pre-cum is the clear, transparent sticky fluid.

I too get various types of fluids before the cum depending on what has transpired.

Most cases its a few drops of clear, viscous fluid during a regular J/O.
On the few times I edge, I probably stop a little too late because I will get a large gob of semi-clear fluid which indicates precum mixed with semen.
On more rare occasions now but more frequent when younger, I would get a few streams of clear, water fluid and even ejaculate the fluid but it was not cum somewhere in the neighborhood of close but not close. I would have the urge to ejaculate and when I did the fluid would stream out. Some guy once told me that this was precum but I don't think so.

Other things I've noticed through the years is that eve the clear precum has different consistencies between men.
