Hi Friend, I am a healthy 67yrs & my cock doesn't rise to the occasion like it used to. I can't maintain an erection for long either. Recently I was desperate to perform with a partner I seldom see, so tried Viagara. It worked briliantly. My cock stayed erect for hours when i needed it. I have started with50mg. It only works when you are mentally stimulated, so your cock is only hard when you need it. Otherwise a bloody good porn video may help, though you do need to keep updating to maintain the thrill. Hope I've helped a little. Vintagewine.

Get your Testosterone levels checked by your Doctor. I was diagnosed with Low Levels in 2003 and was on Testosterone Injections for several years. I started working out and building my muscle (which raises Testosterone Levels) and now I'm off the "juice" and feeling great and HORNY all the time with very firm erections.

Hey Man,

I have the same problem. I had my testsoterone levels checked a couple of years ago and was told they were 14 (I think that is "normal" but on the lower end). I can get an OK erection when masturbating but if I don't touch it for a few seconds it goes soft (I find keeping it hard lying down near impossible). I have found that I lose it during sex a lot too.

Seeing as recently I seem to be getting better morning erections I am not sure what is happening. What I would like to know is that if I get decent morning erections does this mean my failure to keep it up is caused by low testosterone?? I started taking Tribex but only yesterday so we will wait and see.
I tried Viagra but didn't find it that helpful (and ciaslis just made me ill). I still needed manual stimulation to get hard (I never get spontaneous erections other than in the morning) and I only noticed a real difference taking 100mg. From some research I have done I have found that viagra doesn't work too great in men with low testosterone and that the"normal" ranges of testosterone are far too wide. I should start working out more, I think, to increase the levels. Anyone have any other suggestions as to what the problem is here. I would say it has been a gradual over the last 3 years that my problem has developed. I am only 25 now...Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Testosterone could certainly be the issue. You may have been having a "good day" when it was checked, as your levels can very a lot even throughout the day. It would probably be a good idea to see your physician again about it.

Usually (but not always) morning erections and getting hard while masturbating means that physiologicly, things are working, It sounds like you're not quite at that point, particularly if it's impossible for you to keep it hard laying down, when you're working against gravity. I'd say go see your physician.
