Discrimination Against Younger Guys

Back when I first joined the site, I had my age displayed openly (I was 18), and within a few weeks' time, someone attempted to discredit my post/opinion based solely on my age. I hid my age after that.

Up until not too long ago, it remained hidden, but I finally got over it and made it visible again.

If anyone chooses to brush me off because of my age then they've only spared me the trouble of having to deal with their narrow-mindedness.

But to be entirely honest, I can understand why it happens. And I can't say I necessarily have a problem with that.

I also think it is discriminating, that youngerst below 18 can´t post on this site. Just because you are 15, 16 or 17, that doesn´t mean, that you can´t talk about sex or penissize. If I was responsable for this site I would certainly allow people to post from the age of 15 or 16, and not from 18

I will chat with Just about anyone but if the conversation turns to more of a hook up tone I am less likely to keep chatting with someone younger than 25 or over 45. That is just my comfort zone. Does it mean I won't chat with someone who is 20? 60? No. I will chat and depending on the conversation decide if it will continue. I chatted with a few younger (18-25) guys who got really upset I didn't consider them suitable for hooking up. Made me really think about if I was being fair judging on age bias. No, it's not fair but that doesn't change that I feel creepy explicit chatting with an 18 year old. I am working on getting over my issues with this. Especially since I am hitting an age that seems to gain more attention as a daddy. Truth be told older guys get a "better" response from me than younger guys but it is more my own baggage than their age. LOL, it's more about not being thrilled to be a daddy....I prefer silver fox

I have no problem with young or old, I don't think anyone left me hanging in the chat room, Nor because i am not cut. I am 67 years old and every things still working.

IRL I find commonality with small children to people in their 90's. It really depends on the individual and how open, thoughtful and authentic they are. All things being equal, I'm inclined to gravitate toward people closer to my own age or older. It's a matter of similar life experience, shared cultural references, and maturity. Sorry to say, most 20-30 somethings, the Americans at least, don't hold my interest at all. Most often I find them rather shallow, ill-mannered, incredibly self-absorbed, and generally ignorant of the world much beyond themselves.

I blame the declining public education system, but most of all I blame their parents - who abandoned them to the electronic nannies of the entertainment age (e.g. teevee, gameboys and the internet) in pursuit of blind materialism and their own vanity. What I find most off-putting about these lost generations is the sense of entitlement and self-importance they carry - a result of the ridiculous "everybody's a winner, everybody has something equally important to say" attitude they were instilled with as children. As a group, I find them generally dull to outright annoying.

That said, there are some in their early 20's or younger, and a very few on this board, who are as bright and sensible as anyone here, and who put most of their elders to shame.

I feel discrimination in any form is wrong. I will chat with anyone about anything. I like chatting with people of different ethnic groups or cultures. How else is a southern boy going to expand his mind beyond cornbread and peas? I have learned so many great things from others. One thing that LPSG has shown me is that I am not alone in my feelings and likes. I am not the only guy who has a live in girl friend, likes to jerk off with buddies, and hang out nude. I usd to think I was the only nut like me in the world when I was younger. I wish I had known all of this when I was 17 or so, would have saved alot of money on booze and staring at the moon at night in the bed of my truck alone.
