Oh, gee... look who's back after an extensive session of preverbal, hyper-conservative freebasing?
All you liberal ass bitches need to shut the fuck up and show some respect!
To whom, people like you or the OP? On what grounds? That he's adamantly displayed his own paranoidal insecurities of masculinity by overreacting to a simple gesture of respect made by the President?
STYLYUNG may have gotten the number of Americans killed by Japan in WWII wrong
He got more than that wrong, but go on...
but the premise of his statement still holds quite a bit of validity.
... with a bunch of immature, image-obsessed, chest beating crybabies who would instantly assume that a bow to a foreign leader indicates a symbol of inferiority.
The man IS a WWII vet himself
That doesn't make his comments anymore valid than the next guy.
He gets respect for fighting in the war. But that's not an excuse to say something ridiculous.
and fought against the evils that sadly we're seeing our country succumb to from an enemy within.
Right now, the "enemy within" is stupidity and ignorance. Which side are you on?
Imperialism is on the horizon as soon as Obama declares himself supreme leader. The fascism is already here and history is repeating itself by those who fail to remember the history of the last century.
And that, my friends, is the sound of a rabid conservative snorting up his nose a bump of crystal meth, wrapped with the most ridiculous talking points ever conceived.
Obama's gaffe was apparently some ill-advised attempt at cultural sensitivity and respect that many scholars on Japanese culture are already pointing out how overboard and unnecessary it was.
Bullshit. It's VERY customary in Japanese culture to bow to someone as an act of kindness. Even if some people find the gesture to be a little overboard, the fact that one steps above and beyond to be courteous would not be frowned upon by any rational thinking person. But I guess, when the closest thing you've been to anything Japanese is a Pokemon doll and a Combo Plate #4 with Chicken Fingers, I can understand how you'd easily disconnect with another culture's perspective of reality.
Rather than showing respect with a slight nod of the head, LIKE EVERY OTHER WOLRD LEADER DID AND DOES
Which is still a bow... somehow, you've forgotten this as well.
your messianic president bowed at an almost 90 degree angle, which was seen by the rest of the world as weak and submissive.
Bullshit again. There are different degrees to the art of bowing in Japanese culture. It is understood that the steeper the angle, the more respect the person is bestowing upon the recipient.
The many degrees of bowing… Ways to Say Hello
His foreign policy is disastrous as it is and now he goes out and commits this gaffe.
Idiots like you tried to say that the first time he "bowed" to a foreign leader and it didn't work then either. Nice try.
You assholes don't have to agree with STYLYUNG, and God knows your pathological ideological bent completely prevents you from it;
So sayeth the paranoid who thinks our President is essentially "assed out" by bowing, in what he thinks was close to 90 degrees. Perhaps you associate that gesture to something else altogether? Something that you're probably all too familiar with intellectually?
but the man is an American hero who has lived through things that would mentally paralyze all you candy asses.
Good for you... wanna cookie?
He happens to be a dear friend of mine.
How nice. You have ONE.
You tell him to grow up but he's wiser than you lot could ever hope to be.
Well, if we went by his OP then he has far more to prove... "war hero" or not.
Your behavior here in this thread is proof of the lack of civil discourse in this country.
And this is coming from the person who started his post:
All you liberal ass bitches need to shut the fuck up and show some respect! Lack of civil discourse he says... ROTLMMFAO!!!
Learn something quickly here... in order to get respect, you must first GIVE IT. To simply demand it because of your past actions doesn't cut it. That only displays an unhealthy level of bitterness fueled by your own beliefs that everyone in this country owes you something... and nobody here owes you or your friend JACK SHIT. He will always have a certain level of respect for being a veteran. But that doesn't give he or you the privilege to talk down to other adults who choose not to go into the Military. And by all means, if you feel obligated to do so because of your First Amendment Rights, then we can always use ours to return the favor, and I'm sure you won't like the response.
