The above address has a quiz. Zero percent means you have a yankee dialect and 100 percent means you have a dixie dialect.

    I scored 84 percent dixie.

The results may surprise you. They did me. I thought i would socre around 50 percent. Was I erver fooled.

Take the test and let us know what you socred.

79% dixie. No duh. would probably be more except being an ex army brat i still have some more northern and nationwide influences. Two N'Awlins answers weren't even on there. That long sandwich down here is called a "po-boy". And I remember that little black bug with many legs that rolls into a ball when u touch it (if they're talking the same thing) was called a "milkman". Haven't seen them here in ages.

50% (Yankee). Barely into the Yankee category.

I don't know what that means for me being German but I guess that matches the English I've learned at school.
