in my experience...

some straight men believe that all women are straight...they just need a taste of the wondercock to realise it!

some gay women believe that all women have lesbian desires.

you get wazzocks in every sexuality.

I think that people who define as something other than "completely straight" are more likely to realise that there's a sliding scale of sexuality, rather than the "one or the other" mentality that some straight people adhere to. However, I shouldn't think this extends to thinking everyone swings every way. Wouldn't that be great though :)

as someone who took a while to accept the fact he was bi, i have noticed since the concious realisation that i look for more gay signals in guys - that is to say, i want more men to be gay so i look for it - thinking, 'hmm, i like him, perhaps he's gay... oo... i saw a limp wrist... nah, he's into that girl' or 'i've liked him for a while... wait a tick, was he just eyeing my crotch?'

so no, we don't neccesarily think every straight man is gay - but we like to entertain the possibility that every one might be.

I was just thinking that the OP may be referring to our endless threads asserting that every handsome male celebrity is gay. Some guys think like that, but when I see those threads, for a few of the celebrities, my reaction is "well duh, of course he is"; for some, it's "who knows? who cares?" and for others still, it's "stupid question, he's obviously straight. It's just wishful thinking that he's gay..." and for just a few of them, I think "oh hell, I HOPE he's not gay!"

Then again, I sure wish I had a dollar for every time I've heard some ignorant straight woman say "he only thinks he's gay, 'cause he hasn't had the right woman yet." By that, she usually means herself.

As a gay man living in the Bay Area, it's always safer to assume a guy who I don't know is a heterosexual. If this new guy starts talking about boyfriends, etc. exclusively, I change my opinion to gay. If the guy is always checking out chicks and talking about all the hot chicks he's banging without mentioning men, well then, this guy is a heterosexual. Then if either guy starts talking about being with members of both sexes, I change my opinion to bisexual, or even onmisexual. And finally, I think I'm learning that all of us no matter what we claim our sexuality to be and know our orientation are simply sexual. Sexuality is something that develops over time. What is most important in all of this is how each person defines him or herself in that moment. I have no right to push my own judgment on others. I can support others who make claims about their orientation by acting as if this is their truth for the moment, because it is....

OK, it's a ramble...

I think that some gay guys feel that it takes a couple of beers, and any straight guy will experiment with homosexuality. I think that this is a dangerous game. But some do it.
i think that's just a guy thing rather than a gay guy thing.

lots of guys seem to think that if they buy a chick a few drinks she'll experiment with him too.

...ok, i tell a lie. i've had & seen women do that too.

I dont think that all women are straight, but unfortunately i cant distinguish them by her look. Moreover i dont think i could feel the difference between a straight women denial and a gay women denial.

Few straight men think that every women who denials them are gay. You can spot them quite easy they need 2 seats one for him an another for his ego.:biggrin1:

I think that humans nature is to be curious about everything, particularly oneself and others. That's all I have to say on the matter for now.

There are two types of gay men: Gay men who are outwardly feminine, don't care who knows and are often TOO "out." The other type are the overwhelming number of gay men who are in the mainstream and invisible.

They are in the closet not because they choose to be, but just turned out that way.

Unfortunately, most of the gay men who SAY they speak for the majority are "urban" gay men who lived in isolation, have few-if-any straight friends, and don't understand the real world.

The awful thing is that many gay men think they can ORDER the religious right and others to change they way of thinking, yet they are unable to compromise teir own feelings and try to understand that they are in the minority.

I have been out of the closet for 30 years. I'm lucky that I work in an industry where no one cares.

One of the most telling things I remember was at a major company for which I worked in DC, one of the women came to me and said that she and the other female employees KNEW I was gay. The reason: I was the only male there who had not tried to put the make on all of them.

That is a sad commentary on the way straight men act.

Just remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It's a shame that the untalked about level flirting and the creation of uncomfortable situations for women, done by straight men, is often shoved under the carpet.
