I think you know me well enough to know that if you have your own, personal Willow Rosenberg stashed away, I hope she's telegraphing me at a speed that could curl her hair... ;D

My wife just said she would totally do Alyson Hannigan.

Me too! Me too!

Emp, apparently I share your fetish for large hands (as I recently discovered).

And to the OP - nope, women don't have fetishes. Every one of us is fetish-free.

I think I need to come up with a better definition of a fetish. Really, I don't think females know what they are and substitute fantasies for fetishes. I enjoyed the banter, guys.

Well if you're going to be all stuffy and academic about it, a fetish refers specifically to objects or specific body parts that are necessary for sexual fulfillment, like big feet or pink panties. A lot of people confuse kinks or other paraphilias for specific fetishes, when they are referring to acts commited during sex or certain sexual preferences and not specifically certain physical objects.

But who really cares? This is a fun thread and people are enjoying it.

OK, imagine you're a woman with a fetish. I'll imagine I'm a woman with one, ok, what'll it be? Mmmmmm. A guy in Converse High-tops, red ones. A chap with painted toe nails; a broken nose; two pens in his shirt pocket; a very deep voice.
How am I doing so far?

Depends. Are you turned on? If you aren't turned on then you're doing it wrong. It doesn't matter if someone else isn't turned on because that's not the question that you asked.

You asked people for their own opinions of what turns themselves on. It's not their fault if they didn't give you the answers you wanted to hear.

Maybe you should have written, "Tell me about women's fetishes that would turn ME on."

Petit, I have a few fetishes and I can't see why they would turn you on. And I don't expect that yours would turn me on, necessarily.

The pretend fetishes I mentioned above might be ridiculous to you, or from any woman's point of view. Women usually smile when they hear what men are thinking about in the realm of the fetishes. My thesis is that if women have fetishes then the very nature of them is different from a man's. Another universe needing another vocabulary. I'm working on it but I can't explain it better yet. I may be off base but that's why I posted this thread.

There was a doco about women who fetishised large hard manmade things - a picket fence, a fairground ride, the Eiffel Tower - but they were more like love affairs than sexual fetishes. Maybe that's where you should be looking. Do women fall in love with lesser things?

Petite! You beat me to it!

And for the OP, from the Textbook of Psychiatry (Judith V. Becker & Bradley R. Johnson):

Mason (1997) concluded that there is no good epidemiological data for this paraphilia [fetishism], but it appears to be more common in males than females.

My wife had a cum fetish which for her means she is turned on by huge loads shot on porn stars faces and mouths and I cum above average and she can get off just by the cum hitting her face or mouth so it's fairly intense and would fall into the category of a fetish I believe.

LOL, subgirrl!

I'm not sure that I agree with you about the nature of women's fetishes being different from a man's, but as you say, you feel that you are having a difficult time expressing your concept, so I'll withhold judgment until you have expressed what you mean to your satisfaction and I'll indulge answering your question.

Here's one of mine: I am attracted to men's hands. They don't have to look a particular way since I seem to be attracted to almost all male hands except hands that are pudgy and soft looking. I like hands that look like they work, or are strong, or have veins, or have long thin elegant feminine fingers, but not all of those features at once necessarily (long thin feminine fingers rarely look especially strong for one thing). Those are all just individual features that I find attractive. I am drawn to sexy photos that show men's hands, say unbuckling his belt, holding his cock, or on a woman's ass. I prefer those photos to tell a story, show something in action, something that just happened or is just about to happen.

I don't have a proper "Fetish", no. Unless you could say kissing is a fetish? I need that for sex to work, so I guess it qualifies. With my boyfriend, though, I'm completely obsessed with his furry chest/stomach, his muscular thighs, and his veiny uncut cock. I've never been what you would call a "cock worshipper" until I met him... mmm...
