Seems like bathing is becoming a lost art at least for guys. I'm wondering if any of you still take them.

If so when and how often? Do you prefer taking a bath over showering?

I prefer a shower, but after a day of snow skiing there is nothing like a hot bath!

I take most of the time a bath.
Simple reason, we only have a both on the second floor, and the bathroom is right across my room. A shower would be cooler to have a quick wash, but our showerroom is downstairs.
But lately I start showering more because I go too the gym and shower there.

As a kid - only baths - did not have a shower!!!

Bath now only when in need of some warm comfort - wish there was a body for that!

I can recall the first time I took a bath when I had my German shepherd - she came into the bathroom and looked in amazement at me in the tub!

She was one hell of a great companion. I miss her greatly.

We have one of those long old-fashioned bathtubs with lion claw feet that comfortably fits both of us when we stretch out end-to-end. Our favorite way to waste a morning or afternoon is to soak in the tub, letting out cold water and topping it off with hot, as we just relax and read. Needless to say, this activity is Hell on books which are scattered about like swollen sponges. Oh, and we're partial to lavender oil in the water with a bit of olive oil to keep our skin from drying out.

I love having a bath, with bubble bath, full up to the overflow and almost scalding hot. Put some music on and spend an hour in there. Lovely!

Shower to wash, bath to unwind. Immersing your whole body in hot water and closing your eyes is never going to wear thin. Do it every Sunday. Plus I can play with my submarine.

95% of the time I shower. The other times an occasional bubble bath.

I actually fill the tub about 6 inches before showing for fear that I will lose water during a shower. I used to fear losing hot water in NJ. Here in Florida the cold water is never that cold.

I've also learned to keep the hot water heater unplugged and only plug it in an hour or two before the shower, and then it's unplugged after wards...If I remember.

Oh I do. I take a shower in the morning. In the evening, however, I sometimes like a nice long soak in bubble bath or bath oil or salts. I'll read and maybe have a fruit pop or listen to the TV in the next room. I find it very relaxing. When I redid the bathroom I had them put in an extra large tub so I can soak myself completely and comfortably. It's terrific. Nothing like going from a hot bath straight into bed to read a book and fall asleep. It's enormously relaxing.

In the winter I tend to skip baths and sponge mop myself in the critical areas. In the summer when I sweat freely, it's a daily routine.

Seems that the OP has met some who are not too careful. There is, however, no elaboration on this.

I prefer a bath over a shower, but I have never time for a bath.

I can't even remember the last time I took a bath.

Bath at home. For relaxation and dunking my head underwater. Mmm, total immersion. Though I enjoy a shower at the gym, swimming pool or steam club.
