Most mainstream porn sucks. The women don't seem like they're enjoying themselves, they have bad boob jobs, and the women are all the camera ever focuses on. That said, I'm not a big porn-watcher but I have seen some straight porn I liked - when both people look like they're actually enjoying themselves, and if the director can break away from the plastic woman for a second to focus on the built, hung stud doing her senseless, well, it's not entirely without the potential for enjoyment :biggrin1: . Most porn falls short though. And, as I've said on all the other porn threads, I can't stand facials. I don't understand why every scene has to end with a facial, or who gets off on that, but it's a huge turn-off for me.

The Roquelaure/Rice "Sleeping Beauty" trilogy was indeed pretty hot... for the most part. Some of her phraseology made me giggle ("she moaned softly as he kissed her moist little sex") at the most inopportune time, but in all, it was exceptionally erotic. And it was loaned to me by one of my best friends, a straight woman who also liked porn. She has a fairly large collection.

Well, I guess Anne did go the more traditional bodice-ripper route with some of the dialogue, but I'm guessing that was to keep it from being presented as outright "smut" (maybe her publisher had a clause about how many times she could use the p-word?). As in most porn films I've seen, I'm happy to forget the dialogue if the action is hot enough.

There are a few of the female porn stars who went on to start their own production companies, and produce porn geared either neutral or more toward "women's taste."

If that means films along the lines of those late-night "Skinemax" soft-core soap operas, include me out. I am very visual-oriented, even though gender-biases say I'm not supposed to be, so I have NOTHING against watching hot sex. I just am not into the degradation vs. plastic people options. With all the women here watching gay porn, maybe I'm missing out there.
