I'm in team locker rooms all the time and we do pretty "gay" things by normal social standards, but getting erections and comparing them is off the charts gay in our books. And that says a lot.

This has not happened since I was much younger. I had a couple of very close friends since the age of 6 or so. We discovered hard-ons around the same time and I discovered my dad's hidden Playboy collection around that time as well. We had jerk off sessions together from time to time, each of us with a mag. At some point it was made known to me I was larger than the other two guys. Then word was spread to some others and I was pitted against another guy to see which circle of friends had the larger 'stud' LOL. From junior high school to the present - 50 plus years - I believe I've seen a total of seven boys and men with erections. In every case, I didn't have an erection at the time, so I could only make a mental comparison.

How would two males compare erections in a non-sexual way? Quite easily. Perhaps say something like: "Hey buddy, let's both get hard and see has a bigger erection." Most boys and young men need nothing to get a boner other than a brain and some blood.

I am sure I have had many opportuniries. Guys are insecure things that need to one up other guys, and this is a way of doing it. I am comfortable with myself and have never felt the need to compare. Yes, men are very insecure in general (money, body, penis size etc), but refuse to admit it like many women do. Penis size is often a HUGE insecurity for men (big-dicked porn studs aggravate this).

I did actually have some buddies who would compare sometimes. I always left before it came to that. Usually the instigating situations were them wanting to go nude in the hot tub, or jack off to porn on the cracked directtv. I would just go read or code or sleep. They usually explained it as a contest to see who was "top dog."


I didn't really think less of them wanting to do those things. I was just never the type to care for being casually nude around friends or jacking together. Unless u put two dicks side by side, no way u can make a healthy comparison. I can't really think of any "normal" situation where two guys would (have an opportunity to) compare erections. There was a time when my friends and I talked a lot about sizes, but we never went so far as to actually compare. And even if I were in a situation where me and another guy were both erect -- without it being a sexual encounter -- I don't think I'd go "hey let's compare".
