Do men really think it would be so horrible to be a woman?

If it was good enough for Tiresias, I'd give it a go. I'd like to be the opposite of what I am now--petite, even waiflike. I'm pretty sure I'd be a lesbian.

I don't think it would be THAT bad being a woman, there are tradeoffs

Like yeah women get pregnant, which sucks, but you get to go out on a date & not have to pay a dime

Yeah I would hate to deal with being emotional about everything, but you can use it to your advantage by crying & getting out of things like a speeding ticket

I would hate to deal with boobs when doing anything athletic, but if they look nice enough you can get in the club for free & get free stuff for simply having boobs

Women might not get paid as much, but you can still get half a guys money by simply divorcing him

I think all the advantages/disadvantages of the sexes eventually get evened out in one way or another, & I probably have a biased opinion being a guy lol, but after weighing the pro's & con's, I'd rather be a man

I think that being a man is great. I think that being a woman is great. And if there is a heaven i bet there are a lot more females there than men.

But this ain't heaven. This is a rough place. You have to be a warrior in every sense of the word. AOL just published an article that was either the 10 safest cities or the 10 most dangerous cities for women.{there are 3 serial rapists loose in detroit/that to me is scary} Every day in sf i see people who are clearly demented or crazy. We all find ourselves in strange places at strange hours. I was riding bart the sf subway once and i was the only one in the
car and a homeless man entered the car and started hassling me. I stood up to leave at the next stop and i guess he was surprised by my size because he took off .
Now anyone in theory is at risk when somehing like that happens but what if i was a slight female. Females are physically vunerable.{this limits their freedom}

I know a female who lives in danville just outsdie sf. She's 5'8'' and 120 pounts. She's not slight and danville is as safe as it gets. She told me that sometimes every slight noise at night scares her and there are nights she can't sleep. Its not every woman of course but i doubt men worry about someone breaking in when they're home. There are many situations like that.

Females live longer than men and the economic tide is turning their way. They may even enjoy sex more than men. But they are frail especially as they age. Maybe that can somehow change or is changeable through exercise. Other than that in many ways females are better human beings than men. Most people in prison are men. But what men have more of is power.

If i recall, HolyMolyMan said it would be embarrassing to be a woman in the "What I like about being a man" thread

check #55 in this thread it also pertains to why I would be embarrassed and also check what I wrote to Enid who asked me why I would feel this way in what is the best thing about being a man thread. But I'll say it again if I was born female and comfortable being female, (didn't want a sex change) of course I would not be embarrassed and I'm sure I would love being female. Dont we all realize this works both ways?

Unless paid to do so, you know because we are women after all

Yeah some stuff said in this thread and others is just complete and utter childish (a woman pissed me off so i'll retaliate for the rest of my life) pissing match bullshit. Which all in of itself explains why said individuals were rejected in the first place.

GOOD THINGS BEING A WOMAN AS OBSERVED BY INVISIBLEMAN:

1. They aren't men.
2. They think differently about sex (and a whole lot of other things) than men do.
3. They have vaginas, estrogen, and breasts. Thank God you have them.
4. Fashion designers give you better clothing. With exception to high heels, whale bone corsets, girdles and bras...everything else seems comfortable.
5. You have hair. There are no BOSLEYS for WOMEN.
6. You get to wear cool makeup. (I wish I were younger, I could train with Cirque Du Soleil and learn to handbalance and operate a Cyr wheel.)
7. You are slow-simmering sexually.
8. You c*ntblock each other.
9. You have Girl Scout cookies. (Boy Scout cockies didn't do so well. JOKE)
10. You can wear some amazing perfume...like Oscar De La Renta. White Diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor and Chloe (I forget who made that one. It smells really nice though.)
11. You don't have to worry about morning wood.
12. You don't constantly think about having sex all the time.

I would quite like to be a woman. For a short time, at least. I’m happy as a man, but would like to experience the world as a woman. With the mind and body of a woman; the thoughts and feelings of a woman. It would be enlightening. I say that not because of all the differences, but for the many similarities. All this talk of ‘men/women being better’ would disappear. It would confirm that actually, we are different sides of the same coin. Different, but part of the same beautiful existence; separated only by body-type and prejudice. Two brains with different settings, yet capable of reaching the same conclusion. Individual minds; born unique and shaped by life-experience. Why do I like Chopin and Richard O’Brien? Not because I’m male or female, not because I’m gay or straight – because I’m an individual, just as you all are. As an essence (without body or form), I would still be attracted to women. As a woman, I would still be attracted to women. Such things go beyond genitalia, silly names and labels. Realising this, the idea of breasts being used as some sort of bargaining chip or a man using his position ‘as a man’ to get things done is ridiculous. Such bigotry can be dismissed as idiocy – it’s insulting to the complicated nature of humans. For example, even if I liked the imaginary breasts – why would I buy the lady a drink if those are her only attractive trait? Even based on physical-attraction alone, that’s far too simplistic a view. However, it is further evidence of our fundamental equality.

If I buy the lady a drink, simply for displaying cleavage – I am an idiot (sexist, for assuming she’ll jump into bed with me because she’s displaying some cleavage etc). If the lady is displaying cleavage, hoping for free drinks – she’s an idiot (sexist, for assuming men will do anything for cleavage etc). The context of that scenario could vary enormously, but my simple version demonstrates how both men and women can use and abuse a commodity (and wrongly assume something is a commodity in the first place). Even the bad qualities are shared equally between men and women. Only through lack of thought have the prejudices of a few, became the prejudices of many. At the source, it is stupidity – blindly believing the lies of the past and continuing to spread them. In short, no – men don’t think life as a woman would be horrible. However, some believe it without thinking. With a little thought, I doubt something this obvious would be misunderstood.

I love this response and feel the same way in reverse!

old enough

why do you ask?

Because your answers speak to someone whose mind is not fully formed yet

I don't think it would be THAT bad being a woman, there are tradeoffs

Like yeah women get pregnant, which sucks, but you get to go out on a date & not have to pay a dime Pregnancy is known as one of the greatest things a woman can do. She creates life, it does not suck.

Yeah I would hate to deal with being emotional about everything, but you can use it to your advantage by crying & getting out of things like a speeding ticket Women are not emotional about everything, they can be more emotional than men, but I have known many women who are less emotional and more pragmatic, stop the stereotyping

I would hate to deal with boobs when doing anything athletic, but if they look nice enough you can get in the club for free & get free stuff for simply having boobs I know many women who only have A cups, so how does having boobs hurt them when being athletic?

Women might not get paid as much, but you can still get half a guys money by simply divorcing him This is another fallacy. Today most women work so when you cut out the second income they do not live as well after a divorce

I think all the advantages/disadvantages of the sexes eventually get evened out in one way or another, & I probably have a biased opinion being a guy lol, but after weighing the pro's & con's, I'd rather be a man
I don't know which is better, I do know that I would be very interested in being a girl for a time, so I could find out and learn
