go to the gym, you'll see more boxers than briefs in the lockeroom especially on a college campus.

No shit, man. And that's a tragedy. In the 80's white briefs went out the window and boxers, which I think are ridiculous as underwear, came in. Can't we reverse the trend?

I doubt that there are many straight guys who are under 40 and over 10 who wear briefs. Obviously, there are some, but there can't be too many of them, at least from what i've seen. I am 33 and pretty much every guy I know switched to boxers around age 12-13 (1989/90 or so).

Lots of guys wear boxer-briefs now, though, but I don't think that this counts.

I never found briefs comfortable, myself.

This is probably the main issue. As guys have become more fashion conscious and aware of how they look, briefs have taken a hit. Its not that briefs are bad, but a guy has to have a flat stomach, muscular ass, and thick muscular thighs to pull it off. If a guy doesn't fit that criteria, then boxer briefs are a much better option.

A still see briefs as being somewhat common among jocks, but much less common amongst others.

Actually they always reminded me of a fitted diaper. Hence: BVD: Big vile diaper. Only a really buff young dude can barely pull the look off. Try boxer briefs. They're snug and you will never have a wedgie again.

because some girlfriend liked me in them
and so i got them, wore them and had her

i don't make a point to wear them (uncomfortable)
but if i can get laid as a result of wearing them and

I where hanes a lot. I prefer boxerbriefs to briefs but its hard to find the ones that either don't stretch out or don't roll up on my thighs so I guess I'm a briefs guy because boxers don't give me the support I require.
