Interesting take on the subject:

In some of the subcultures Ward studied, straight MSM were able to reinterpret homosexual identity as actually strengthening their heterosexual identities. So it was with Silva’s subjects as well — they found ways to cast their homosexual liaisons as reaffirming their rural masculinity.

It could also be called rationalization. Sexual attraction to both sexes has only one definition in the medical community, but social stigma has many attempting to force quite an overlap of the terms.

Sexual attraction isn't by itself orientation. Further the "medical community" defers from labeling orientation. For instance they use the term men who have sex with men (MSM) to describe a sexual behavior without labeling it an orientation.

just A Question For The Straight Men......will Totally Straight Men Allow Another Man To Perform Oral Sex On Them?

Yes!

There is something called hetero-masculine peer pressure. It is based on the desire for male recognition and belonging too profound to deny.

One example is the “soggy biscuit” game reported to be popular in schools in the UK and Australia. An individual’s masculinity is determined through his willingness to play the game. In the game several male participants must quickly ejaculate on a cookie and the last to do so is the “looser” He must consume it.

Consensus among straight boys and men who play soggy biscuit is that loosing is disgusting. Nonetheless straight boys and men are compelled to participate in order to demonstrate allegiance to the group and a manly disgust appropriate for a model heterosexual.

Straight men follow through on these games in order to feel validated, powerful, and be part of their male tribe.

Such games which might just as easily involve giving blow jobs are part of a cultural narrative that elaborates the numerous circumstanced in which heterosexual (straight) men may be called upon to penetrate one another, or swallowing each others ejaculate. Most of these men are straight, not gay

Must all straight males like lesbian porn? I'm just this throwing this out. Is it a requirement?o_O

Even if two men identify as straight, each has a unique sexuality. No two on the entire planet have the exact same sexuality, no matter their romantic orientation.

Such peer-group hazing or "team building" shenanigans have little to do with the participants' sexuality...these aren't sex acts any more than a rape victim had sex. A "do this or else" scene can not define one's orientation.

The OP didn’t ask why straight men would take a blowjob from another guy. He just asks if it happens.

I am saying it does happen and that the soggy biscuit challenge is one example of what straight men will do even though it might appear (subjectively) as a gay action..

The point is, most of these guys are straight men for all practical purposes. Though the activity might be thought of as something gay guys might do, participation in such activities does not make anyone gay or straight.

No behavior or activity is “gay” or “straight” unless it is considered in context with the participant’s feelings. Conversely any action done with the “loving/lustful/sexual intent” of either gay or straight takes on the nature of the actor.

From Psychology Today:

Research has identified a population of males who consider themselves heterosexual, do not label themselves gay or bisexual, who eschew involvement with the LGBT community, who are often married or romantically involved with an opposite-sex partner, and who engage in sex with males or express the desire to do so. This classification of SMSM is a source of lively debate in the fields of public health, psychology, and sexology.

It is also a source of consternation for the general public since it challenges the traditional and for many the unyielding belief that sexual behavior is indicative of identity.

In another thread the issue of feeling versus acts was brought up. It was stated that in some cultures the act is as important as the feelings of the participants in determining orientation. In this case the person discussing was Greek.

I agree.

It is not the act but the emotion (and logic) that proceeds the act that defines the actors sexual interest.
