I was wondering if any women here measured themselves in relation to vagina length and if so what were the results.

There's a website called the vagina Insitute that's done studies on vagina size there women submit their sizes. The length determination method is to insert a dildo or other object (a long penis would also work), before and after being aroused, until it reached the end of the vagina. The object is marked then removed and measured.

I had subscribed to this site a while back, but to me the results didn't seem accurate. If I recall correctly the average aroused length was somewhere in the area of 6 to 7 inches which seems short. I would have thought the average would be longer then that. I'm in the area of seven inches and have rarely bottomed out.

Perhaps this may be a bad forum to ask such a question because the ladies participating here may be used to a large penis and therefore longer internally.

Well, think about it, why would it need to be any longer? Our bodies are made for procreating. The vagina needs to be long enough for child birth, but I suspect the length or lack of has more to do with conception. The average peins is 4 &1/2 to 5 & 1/2 ( I don't know exact stats)
We/whoever want the sperm as close to the cervix as possible to insure pregnancy.


In most of the stats I've seen they put the vagina at 3-6 inches. The walls of the vagina have tiny, micro tiny folds that allow for some extension when excited.
Nature has provided enough length for the average man, and then some.
I think the reason is simply that for conception, we have all we need.

Your stats for the aroused length are pretty much in line with my experience and what I have read. However there is still a couple more "potential" inches in the stretched length. This is why you will often see eight to nine inches as a limit for the average before it might become painful/uncomfortable. Bear in mind that you will never really use all of your cock.

Whilst this may be the average, as with cocks, it is not uncommon to be a couple of inches either side of the average. To be more than a couple of inches off the average is less common, but obviously quite normal.

Your stats are also in line with my experiences.

I think it wouldn't occur to most women to measure their vaginal depth. They're much more worried (if worried at all) about being tight enough. The vagina and the penis are elastic, and swell, contract and stretch to fit each other. Here's a little perspective based upon personal study/experience:

We haven't measured (yet), but when my wife uses a dildo or vibrator, or I use one on her, I'd guess that about 5.5", perhaps 6", seems to be her limit without discomfort. But this varies with her level of arousal - it's also dependent upon how long she's been aroused for. However, this doesn't tell us the length of penis she can accommodate. A guy's cock doesn't stay as firm as a dildo. The glans is hydraulic. It is designed to 'give' or deflate a little when it hits the end of the vagina. So how much penis length can she take?

I stand up to measure my cock (I do p.e.) and with a ruler pressed against my pubic bone I'm a little less than 7" at full erection these days. If I tilt my hips and squeeze my pelvic floor muscles (kegel exerecise) I can go a bit over 7". If I pull my cockhead away from my body at the same time I can measure nearly 7.5". A lot of guys would use that as their size but I don't want to kid myself (or anyone else). Instead I think it's more realistic to say it's 6.75". My wife agrees - she's measured it too. My reason for starting this tread was because of curiosity. I guess there is no definitive answer to average vagina length like there is to average penis length. Even your response ranged from a 4.5 inch length with a dildo but than you mentioned that you could handle a 10 inch ex. It seems like a definitive study, like Vagina Insitute is trying to do, is virtually impossible because it appears to really depend on a state of arousal that ultimately determines the maximum size. How can anyone capture that with any kind of a margin for error?

I probably wouldn't be curious but there is so much published about average vagina size that ranges from 4" to infinity that I had to ask the question.

I would imagine that most women would have no need to measure. We don't think our vagina size represents our womanhood like guys think their cock size represents their manhood.
We measure our boobs instead.

So far it looks like max length is around eight inches, plus or minus a couple of inches. I know this a small sampling but it appears that Vagina Institute may be short on their measurement. Problably because the level of arousal plays such an important factor.
