My wife carried twins to 37 weeks. She wanted to try a vaginal delivery. Was induced, and labored for 2 and a half DAYS. 4 pokes in her spine to get the epidural during the hard part of the labor; I thought she was going to rip the anesthesia resident's head off (we're both medical providers). Finally, with a stuck head, she got C-sectioned anyways. She was miserable, and believe me, I was doing anything I could to make her a bit more comfortable. 5 lbs 14 oz and 6 lbs 12 oz. No wonder she was peeing every 30 minutes for the last month!

Historically orgasm was used during labour to help with the process as orgasm helps release the endorphins the body produces to cope with pain and stress (oxytocin I think its called)...not really as kinky as you might think...our society is so closed to the real earthiness of pregnancy and birth.

Oxytocin is not an endorphin, but they are both involved.
