]Yes. You cant believe in one and not believe in the other. The key word here is Believe[/B].

Yes, since I believe in God and 'good' it stands to reason that I believe in the Devil and 'evil'.

I'm with Pecker and Uncut.

I believe in God and good and guardian angels. I also believe that there is true evil in this world and that the devil has minions who walk the earth and wreck havoc.

Nah. I don't even really believe in right or wrong, only life-lessons and improvement through experience.
Don't be ridiculous of course there is right and wrong.:tongue:How can you lead a happy existence living only in the shades of gray?

i wouldn't say it's that ridiculous. morality is pretty arbitrary, when you think about it. most things that we'd automatically categorize as "wrong" have exceptions that make them less so. some things we'd categorize as "right" may have consequences or motivations that are less so. and in time, our definitions for both change back and forth.

i believe in right and wrong, in good and evil, but i don't think they're as easily defined or defineable as most would like or believe them to be.

personally, i don't see how anyone can be happy living in absolutes of black and white. it's the complexity, the contrast, the intertwining of the two that gives anything meaning.

When I was much younger I definetely saw the world in terms of black and white, right and wrong. With age, compassion, and a constant yearning for knowledge I now have quite a bit in the way of shades of gray. Not as much as many people; but I'm satisfied with the changes I have made in that area. Maybe it's because I am a bit of a control freak; but to me grey areas are nebulous and subject to change at will. I don't like that. I like having all my ducks in a row at all times.
