From a technical POV:
Idk if you've ever invested time in reading a story only to have your hard-on go limp when the writing takes a poor turn, but imho the risk with AI for this kind of thing is huge atm, so I wouldn't bother. I also like emotional and intellectual complexity, so I've never enjoyed simple plots that drop you right into the action. Most of writing lacks this complexity and I imagine most of AI writing will be based on it. So, not for me.

Thinking more broadly:
If technically the story was very good, I could enjoy AI-written work but I wouldn't want to know it's written by AI. Idk why it's important for me to know there's a person behind the writing, but it is. I guess it's about connection? Even in non-erotic writing, the author's identity counts for something.
AI writing is produced by humans, someone has to tell it what to write (and what to change/fix/etc).

It's not like the AI just sits on a server cranking out randomly generated stories over and over. Someone created that story using an AI, just as someone can create a story using a pen.

The AI is just a really, really good pen.

But it does. Just try it. It can crank out a porn scene in the style of ‘‘twas night before Christmas by a phrase…stories can be written same way…no ingenuity required.

Yep, and that’s why I got rather indignant when somebody was praising an AI-generated story right here on this site recently. No talent or human ingenuity required, because the human ingenuity and talent had already been put into a mixer and extruded into the “product” that was being praised.

You let AI slime its way in the front door and I guarantee that all human writers will give up and stop contributing here.

That's a category mistake. A pen merely transcribes the words of a human mind - it doesn't generate the content for you.

A person who enters a prompt into an AI text generator is not a writer - because all they've done is establish the topic and perhaps an intended style. All the actual writing - the vocabulary, phrasing and progression - is mashed together by the AI algorithm from the texts of other human writers, stolen without credit.

And the problem is that AI very much can sit there cranking out random stories over and over in a way that a human never could. That's why in just a couple of short years, the Internet has filled with "AI slop" in a way that risks ruining the Internet itself. That's not even going into more nefarious uses, such as the ability to instantly generate fake revenge porn that in the past would have required dedicated time in Photoshop.

Honestly, the more I see of generative AI, the more I despise it.

And it’s patently obvious too which to me is a buzzkill…the details are always overplayed and unrealistic.

I’ve been using ChatGpt lately to generate some erotic fantasies of mine (stories, not picture) and yes it’s AI generated. But some of them feel real to me. I even wrote some about places in my own city and it’s kind of eerie that it knows so much about particular places here. Like down to some really fine details. I generated a story about a gay Packers/Jets fan somehow getting to meet Aaron Rodgers and then one thing leads to another and they’re waking up in bed together. It got me so fucking hard I started stroking myself as I was reading it. A lot of my stories are like that, mostly about “straight” guys meeting a gay dude and then they hook up, much to the extreme anger of the “straight’s” ex girlfriend or something. And then she very unsuccessfully tries to get revenge lol. I have tried writing stories on my own but I’m not good at it at all. Even if it’s AI slop, I still like to read the stories about Aaron and Dean Winchester doing really gay shit because it turns me on.

That's the thing - AI doesn't actually "know" anything. The only reason it seems to know specific details is because among the millions of texts it was trained on, there were humans who wrote about those things.

But because AI has no judgements or reasoning, it's prone to "hallucinating" - where it will confidently say things that are completely false because the pattern-matching has "matched" facts or words that don't actually go together.

I wouldn't mind if they're slow burners - that's what turns me on.
I also wish there was a section to share experiences and not full-on stories. Even if they're short. They're more erotic to me.
I've changed my mind.
Let's use AI only when strictly needed.
Art does not need AI and how much natural resources are used for it.

I echo this hallucination 100%… I had written a letter to somebody and then they had written a letter back to me. And I was trying to get help and formulating a further reply. So I copied the letters and gave them to ChatGPT. And then when the computer asked me if I wanted it to just write the letter I said yes and then when I read the letter, it provided a quote from my original letter which then caught my attention. I was like I never said that and then I asked, where did you get that quote from because I absolutely did not say that and it said oh well it seemed like this would have been said. Yes it hallucinates and makes shit Totally up.

Art doesn’t need AI but AI would not exist without the original human creativity behind true authentic art. AI is a mindless Cuisinart that pulps and regurgitates original content. Do not allow this literary sludge to gain a foothold here.

I have two opinions on this.

ONE) Any AI generated stories should 100% have an AI tag on it.
TWO) AI stories are written by no one. If no one wrote it, why should I read it?
