No official gf this year, so no. Had always done something for the last gf, but it was one sided. makes me a little sad. I've found someone I really like on an app. We haven't met in person, so I just sent her a happy valentines day gif. That's all it said. Figure at this point that more would seem a bit pushy. We've been chatting for weeks. I really like her and don't want to scare her away. Tentatively, we are meeting later this week. Hopefully, Valentine's week, my charm and a little luck, will bring me a Valentine for many years to come.

I'm still waiting for the blowjob she promised me for Valentine's Day. Yes, I bought her a small box of truffles, gave her two cards, and we had a carry-out gourmet meal at home with candlelight.

While it may make me sound like an uncaring cheapo, but we both mutually agreed several years ago, that it was not necessary to buy each other anymore tchotchkes that we already had enough of to show our love. After over 30 years together, we know what we mean to each other and just being together goes a long way.

I'll admit I have broken this pact on special occasions, because I know despite her agreement, receiving something makes her feel good and wanted and it's more the gesture than the object. However, given all the stress we've been dealing with these last few months; this Valentine's Day I did buy her a card and some fake roses (real ones are hard to come by this year and the cats would just eat them) and put it on her pillow to discover. Of course, we had sex later that night, even though a gift is never necessary to initiate such things.

Having a new baby my second child consumes most of the energy and time. I managed to get flowers and chocolates ( with messages like a fortune cookie but romantic ) delicious and amusing.
In pre pandemic I heard of people putting serious money and effort in it, I know, I got curious but that is as far my curiosity goes.

Much the same here. She loves roses, but she told me not to buy her any. I did anyway, and she appreciated the gesture.
