So, my wife and I were discussing foreplay and such and she made the comment that she'd appreciate more of it. I always try welcoming constructive criticism, but sometimes I blurt out the wrong thing. My immediate response should've been, "Sure, how can I make it more exciting for you?" Instead, I replied, "But I go down on you and make sure you cum before we have sex, isn't that enough?"
But her response was interesting. She said she didn't consider cunnilingus as foreplay, rather she considered it as sex itself. The discussion went on to more specifics, but that comment intrigued me. I've asked several women since then and I've gotten different answers, what's yours?
