Not all of my dreams are in color, but some, a very small percentage, are. I enjoy thinking 'bout them even more when they have been in color. Wet dreams? That gives me an idea for another thread!

Wow, either you have very realistic dreams, or you have some kinda freaky mind powers!

If this were true in my case, I'd be so damn rich and sucessful right now I wouldnt know what to do with myself! ;D

Tender: sounds like you have great dreams? :D
i would be doomed, and dead a hundred times over lol
i think i have more nightmares than dreams,
does anyone else have that?
the ones i remember anyway are usually no where near good things happening to me?
like falling, drowning and stuff?

gigantikok: Interesting.

Sometimes I have uncomfortable and less-than-pleasent dreams. Sometimes I have dreams that make me wake and question whether or not I should have eaten that burrito before bed. Alot of times I have wonderful dreams, but not in many years have I had a downright horrible nightmare. Never do I get scared within the dream, or feel terrible waking up.

wvalady1968: A few nights ago, I was awakened by this weird oooeeeeoooooeeeeoooooo yodel-like noise coming from my bed partner. I opened my eyes and looked at him sleeping and kind of smiled, then started to go back to sleep.

The bed jerked, so I opened my eyes to see his right hand moving up and out in a defensive motion. At the same time, his breathing was jerky and his head was moving side to side.

I put an arm around his waist and gently shook him saying, "Wake up, Baby, you're having a bad dream."

I felt his body relax and heard his laughter in the dark. I could hear the smile in his voice as he said, "Whew! The alligators were after me."

This happened two or three more times. Once he got up to go to the bathroom, and still went back to the nightmare when he fell back to sleep.

The next morning he said that we were on a flat boat in a swamp, and he saw a vine hanging and thought it would be fun to swing on it. The wild ride from there included hitting a "native" in the head and feeling his head explode, then there were the alligators and the sure and certain knowledge that they were going to get him.

He said it was in technicolor and surroundsound. :D

LOL I have not explored that ideal, but it is interesting... hmmm...

I do have very realistic dreams. Sometimes they are so real they scare me. Some call it a gift; sometimes I call it a curse.

gigantikok: Can dreams about other people come true for you? Cuz if so, I definately wouldn't mind a few extra bucks coming my way, or maybe a shiny new car. That'd be nice. ;D

bblumbee: Well, Tender and Gigantikok, if I knew you maybe I would dream about you... LOL

Yes, to answer your question, some of my dreams do come true when I dream about other people. sometimes the dreams are positive, but unfortunately, I normally dream about things that will drastically impact their lives. That is what I meant by is it a gift or a curse. I've had a couple of people to tell me NEVER to dream about them... :(

Tender... did Spiderman come and wisk you off your feet, yet? ;) LOL

Pleasant dreams....

kaine: I don't often dream visually very often it just seems to be ideas mostly - but even so I can't tell its not real.

Just once I've had a dream where it looked really realistic I was looking into a room in my house from my ceiling - it was like an out-of-body experience.

I've also dreampt in video-games and a couple of times in computer code (a troubled mind! :p) where I was weaving code all night, not sure what it did (I couldn't remember it) but It was a good feeling.

I've had bizzarre dream before, including sexual ones.
One sexual one was where I was sitting in a circle with my freinds and somehow the head of my penis was removed - there was no blood, it was just like a button on a shirt being pulled off. My freinds were all passing it around. :-*

Dream in color? Sure, do it all the time. Nothing like it. Now, reading in dreams, that's something I've been doing a lot of recently, and being able to understand what I'm reading as well. Newspapers, magazines, comics, etc.

Rayolin: I dream all the time and the ones I can remember are in color. I've only ever remembered one nightmare(semi-recurring) and it was basically colorless. Compared to Dee's narrative this isnt going to sound like much but it freaked me out enough to remember it(and still have it on occasion) for over 10 years...

There is me and nothing, an empty black void all around me. Looking about I feel something cold settle in my stomach and I begin to panic. While turning this way and that I notice a small change in my surroundings and begin to move towards it. There is a small pinprick of change in the color, a spot had changed from black to something deeper and darker than black. Moving towards it the bad feeling increases and I realize this might not be such a great idea. By this time the circle is larger and when I try to move away from it it only increases in size. I begin to move faster and it just keeps growing and growing until it is larger than i could possibly put into words or relate to. Something surpassing the difference between a dust mite and the universe is the size difference I feel. All throughout its growing whenever I look back it throws my sense of self off, looking at it creates the feeling of having crossed my eyes for to long and when I try to see normal my vision shakes. When this happened I feel like I am the three dimensional character and the spot is two dimensional but then a split second later I feel two dimensional and the spot suddenly feels like it is three dimensional. Switching back and forth, keeping me off balance, all the while it just won't stop getting bigger... and bigger... and bigger...

Why won't it stop getting bigger?!? It never slows, it never speeds up; it is inexorable. The ever increasing size is unfathomable and my mind is unable to take it... I jerk awake in a shaking sweat and am unable to fall asleep for hours afterwards.

Maybe I watched this particular Batman: The Animated Series episode one too many times, but I remember some arch-villain's scheme to recreate memories by interfering with people's dreams. He got inside Bruce Wayne's head in one session to give him the "ideal" life: his parents still alive, everyone happy, he's married. Bruce fights the vision and sort of "tells on himself" by re-envisioning the life choices that made him Batman today...

...funny thing. Bruce sort of "snapped" out of the fantasy when he realized that, of all things, he would open a book in the "dream world" and all the text was in gibberish.

He couldn't read anything. And come to think of it, I don't recall ever having any dreams that involve reading something on a sign or a book or whatever...
