Is it normal to think about or fantasize about someone else when you are having sex? Does it happen often or is it more of a rare thing? Is it less likely to occur within a long standing relationship?

If I felt a need to be thinking about somebody else during the act, I would not be having sex with the person I am having sex with.. kinda a major thing to be in the moment n enjoying what is going on.

Maybe during rebound sex. You know, like after a breakup? I might think of the person I wish I was with instead of the person I was with. I’m not fantasizing. Just my thoughts might wander. But other than that, no. The person I’m with is pretty much all I’m thinking about.

It's rare to me. I'm a lot in the moment, not into any fantasy while having sex. But sometimes I can't get in the mood and I'll try to think of something else to try to get excited.

Perhaps it's more common in longterm, I don't know. Because it can be boring when doing the exact same thing again with the exact same guy in exact the same place.

Well yes I do...I have fantasized about certain men I know watching... it’s a turn on for me..
Just for the record I’ve been married 30 + years .. it might have something to do with it...;)
