Do you ever...

I'd be lying if I said that thought has never entered my mind before.
A nice vacation Is usually in order when you start thinking it often.

YES YES YES!!! If I had the money, and my car wasn't in such bad condition, I would pack my shit up and leave today....sigh.... but then I would be abandoning my responsibilities to others and I'd get half way there, start feeling bad, and turn around and come back.

Saying "Fuck you, capitalism!" running off to Costa Rica and living like a forager in the beaches and jungle has definitely crossed my mind more than once.

I plan on doing that. Although I have to give two months notice to break my lease (mailed it today) . I also will get a U-Haul trailer to bring some of my stuff with me. I plan on leaving NJ and being in south Florida by the end of July.

Do you ever just want to say "fuckitall", throw some stuff in the car and runaway? LOL, I can totally relate!
Yes, almost every day for the last 3 years. :frown1:

Yes, would love to start over again, new job, house, people etc
Yes, but the caveat would have to be that the new job, house, and people would have to be better for me than those which I had left.

A vacation can help; but sometimes you really do just need a permanent change of venue.

Dude ive been to costa rica and it is so nice. My "plan b" in life is to move down there and live off of playing my acoustic guitar at restaurants by the beach and resorts

Back when gas was still around $2/gal, whenever my parents went on a weekend camping trip, I too would hit the road and just go wherever I felt like. Never went further than Greensboro, NC, but it was still good to immerse myself in different surroundings every now and then. Man, I wish I could still do that.

Yeah no joke, I'm one of the poor ones so definitely couldn't go far. lol.

I did exactly that in the fall of '99. Quit a good paying job, sold my house and moved to NYC to go back to school. It was the best move I ever made.

Sometimes you just have to weigh out whether you'd rather be safe and bored or be adventurous and hope it all works out. I was lucky that it all worked out.
