It is surprising that many non-religious folks believe that they have a guardian angel or force which protects them. It's not something we share openly to strangers probably because it is a private thing and not something we'd like to be ridiculed or thought of as crazy.

Surprisingly most Americans DO believe they have a guardian angel.

ABC News: Most Americans Believe in Guardian Angels

I'm kinda interested in whether you have one or not, and if you do, why do you think you do.

Any stories or experiences you've had that lead you to believe that you in fact have a guardian angel or some sort of unexplainable force which protects you from harm?

If I do have a guardian angel, I've made him/her work overtime!

I've been through several incidents that could have ended horribly, but I came out unscathed...

I've gotten hit by a car 3 different times...
I've been in 3 car accidents...
I hit a patch of ice while driving & did a 360 but never hit anything...
I ran through a glass door, completely shattering it & didn't get a scratch...
and finally, I've actually dodged a bullet...

had to add this: once when I was a kid I was in church and was walking toward the door - the floor was wet and I slipped & started to fall backwards...suddenly it felt like someone caught me & stood me back up but nobody was there...that was WEIRD...

I'm a firm believer that we all have a Guardian Angel there have been many books written on the subject and peoples unexplainable experiences. If you have doubts or you are sceptical, then read one of these books before you say no!

Yes, my guardian angel is my deceased half-sister Valarie. She was 16 years older than me. A psychic at a mall in Jersey told me over 20 years ago. aActually what she said was that my sister and I were very close. I said, "I don't have a sister." She looked at my palm again while holding my car & house keys and said, "yes you do." I said, "no, I do not." She leaned in closely and said that while I may not feel close to her she feels close to me. I in a very firm and loud voice said, "I do not have a sister!" People with in a 12' radius stopped and stared. She leaned back in her seat and said your sister is very close to you, she watches out for you, then she smiled. At that point, totally exasperated I explained that my sister had died on my first birthday in 1967. She dropped my keys, as if they had shocked her. I guess she knew she was right, but she wasn't expecting that response.

Like killerb I have a remarkable capacity to survive the oddest accidents. I credit my sis/guardian angel for this.

I've been told that I have a number of guardian angels, and that they were there to make sure I survived with a minimum number of scars some stuff that happened when I was very young.

Souls move in and out of this dimension we're in, and a couple of souls that took earthly form and knew me in this or previous lives are two of my angels. One is my "Auntie Vi," who I knew in this life when I was young. She's not my aunt by blood, but definitely had that sort of role in my life. The other is a guy who was a monk with me in a previous life. He's been described as a guy who is always smiling, almost like a little Buddha.

That's what I've been told, anyway, and it rings true with what I've felt.

There's also a young female energy (young, as in sort of a 20-something age) with a very punk style who I personally feel more than the others.

No. Not remotely. There are too many horrible things occurring in the world for guardian angels to be remotely active in our lives.
