If yes,
1) What is your self-identified sexual orientation?
2) Was she pre-op or post-op?
3) Would you openly date a trans woman?

If no,
Please answer 3)

Samantha
Sorry, I have to answer no to all. I would never even consider any person with a penis as I'm only attracted to cisgender women.

You do realise some trans have vaginas right? Not all of us have a penis.
Other than wanting to clarify this, you are perfectly entitled to your personal preferences :)

Yes, I am totally aware of that, but you'd never know it when 99% of all trans woman pictures and video feature those who have kept their penises

Indeed.
Those are the ones who are casted by porn sites.
It's weird having to explain that I'm trans and have a vagina, sometimes.
Most men seem to assume all trans women have a penis.
I once received a reaction from a guy that went as follows: '' well, you're cis now then aren't you? Why still label yourself trans. You're a complete woman now. "
This dude was a bit ignorant.
He didn't seem to understand the journey it took to get here.
Yes, I'm a complete woman but I'm also trans. Those are not mutually exclusive. I didn't stop being trans after my surgery.
Suggesting different is almost a disservice to the hard journey that I went through.

Transitioning has been completely re-defined unfortunately with so many people identifying as trans without wanting to put in the effort of a full transition.
Most people identifying as trans nowadays are just attention seekers who changed their Facebook name and announced their new pronouns and maybe dyed their hair blue or purple at most.

When I transitioned, in the early 2010s, transitioning meant something. You had to see a therapist for 6 months before being allowed to start hormones and you had to at least desire having gender reassignment surgery.
Those who wanted to live their life as dickgirls were instantly turned away and labeled fetishists.

Nowadays the non-medically transitioning group is biggest.
That leads to those of us who medically transitioned being understood much less by society, sadly.

Thank you for explaining your journey. I have a friend who is a trans woman who fully transitioned over 20 years ago. She went through all the steps you mentioned.

Yep.
I went through all the hoops though.
Wasn't easy but was completely worth it.
No price is too high to be yourself, finally.
Hope your friend is happy too.

No to all questions. I just can't wrap my head around a straight man having sex with a trans woman. She's still a man unless all male equipment has been removed.

If you have had SRS all male equipment has been removed.

Do you see a straight man as closeted for having sex with someone like myself who has a vagina, breast implants and who had multiple rounds of facial feminization surgery?

In this thread it seems men immediately think about dick when the term " trans woman" is used but post-op trans women do exist.

I have no uterus or ovari but neither do lots of cis women.

I wonder what the percent of trans women are who have had SRS?

Very low.
Less than 20%.

But it's ridiculous to state that men who date those of us who have had it are gay.
I look like a woman, I sound like a woman and apart from some scars on my labia and not being able to get wet naturally, my vagina looks normal.
I slept with guys in the past who didn't even realise.
Are those guys gay then?

I agree that men who sleep with those who have a penis are not straight.
You are right in that.

But those of us who are complete are not men.
My chromosomes are not a visible part.

But on a side note:
I don't see the ones who haven't had SRS as real women though.
I see them as men still.
What I also notice about those is that they are usually prostitutes or married men in their 50s transitioning at geriatric age.
Jenner didn't have it I believe and Rachel Levine also still has their equipment from what I could read on a Fox forum.

Sorry, I met a lot of creeps who wanted to become "girls" (not women but girls) with a dick.
That was something that I found disgusting.
Either you're a woman or you're not but living as a woman without wanting SRS is abnormal in my opinion.
Why would anyone put themselves in such a situation?
The vast majority who choose that option have porn motives.
Sorry but I fought for my rights.

I'm not giving respect without someone earning it first.

I was disowned by my family, went financially broke during my transition and still thought it was the best thing I ever did.

Those who change their pronouns and call it a day are a shame for the ones of us who earned our spot in this world.
That’s a hard road you took. Congratulations on coming out the other side. However, should everyone have to go through all of that? I think society is more open to the transition process these days and while it’s still not easy and there are still big roadblocks, it’s obvious - and I think you’ll agree - that it’s a decision that shouldn’t be taken on a whim. Everyone processes things differently and at different speeds so I don’t think these folks are just changing “their pronouns and calling it a day.” While my experience with this may not be as extensive as yours, it seems that many/most of these people are just kids still trying to figure out their place in the world.

If I can clarify when you say do you have 'experience' with trans women. Is that sexual experience or just general experience of met and spoken to?

Samantha makes good points all about this , I consider my self straight, I lived with a trans woman for six years ,I saw her a a woman from the start , not a chix-wit-dix , she was intersexed , I'm told her very rare , but she was going to have the SRS then died . She wasn't in he porn or sex industry, just a woman I loved very much
