I often wonder what makes people attractive. I think I'm average looking, a little over weight but some people think I'm really really attractive. I like it. Some people I find very attractive are just average to others. And some people who find themselves exceptionally attractive are sometimes delusional. LOL So who knows?????

I think in our early years we find certain people who are nice to us, or important to us attractive and that can influence what we find attractive as much as anything we see sold by the media.

I took down my avatar because someone said I looked like a man.
They need to fuck right off. Your avatar was lovely.

I'm attractive depending on whom you ask. I don't think I photograph all that well and have been told I look more attractive in person. I've always thought my physical appearance was rather unusual and some dig it, some don't. I've grown quite comfortable with myself over the years and wouldn't change anything now.

When I look in the mirror, it's hard to be objective as it is the same old face staring back at me....but when I feel good, have been keeping fit, I think that I'm a nice looking guy. When I feel unwell, or out of sorts, then I look like poo...or at least I think I do!!

Most of my friends if they mention my looks will say that I am 'gorgeous Eddy', but in my eyes that's just plain old affection. I don't worry about it as much as I did when I was younger....funny that, we get older and lose the bloom of youth, yet we don't tend to worry about it as much as when we were actually young and beautiful!! I used to spend far more time preening myself lol!

The youth, as they say, is MOST definitely wasted on the young!!

Hell I’m as ugly as sin; got bad breath, reek of body odour and my odour eaters suffer from indigestion. I over weight, dress like a slob, probably because I am a slob and I never comb my hair. When I’m not spitting I’m belching or farting, although I can belch and fart at the same time, or fart and spit at the same time, but I can’t belch and spit at the same time without throwing up. I have as much charm as wet washing and charisma as flat as a road kill. I go out people go in, except the shop, they close up and disappear from the face of the earth. I went to my doctors complaining that people ignore me. He just looked at me and yelled ‘Next!’

But hey, do I care? I got the best woman in the world and she loves me.

LMAO!!!!

--------------------------------

I know my figure is good. My face? Eh.

People frequently tell me I'm "hot", "pretty", etc. etc. -- but most days I just can't see it at all.

I think it has something to do with the fact that I was a gangly, goofy-faced, ugly-duckling kid with a truly beautiful older sister. I was in my thirties before I finally noticed that nature had given me a better body and a face that lasted longer.

I suppose it's why I'm an exhibitionist and have too many pictures in my gallery -- I'm making up for lost time...

I'd like to answer you Jovial, but I can't I'm too horny from looking at you naked :)
Isn't he simply delicious looking?! :flirt: It's so rare to find a man that looks as good from the back as he does from the front.

Hot or Not will give you an idea pretty quickly. It's random, anonymous, and you get people of all sorts.
That site and those like it are my worst nightmare. I avoid them like the plague because I am sure if I posted my pics the answer would be a resounding NO! Most days I look in the mirror and think I'm a 1 or a 2.

Thanks, but on the Internet I never know how serious to take that. I think hearing it from someone in real life that I'm intimate with is the only way I can believe it.
 Well then, we need to get you to be intimate with a lot more women. I'd volunteer my services; but alas you are 2,800 miles away. :frown1: Why are all the uber-hot, sexy, smart men always a minimum of 3 time zones away?

When people join hot or not they get all their friends to go on and give them a good score, I've been asked loads of times to go and big someone up on hot or not.

I did say to Jovial the other night what a lovely bum he had :)

I look like an affeminate young boy- without makeup. I know it, you dont have to try to tell me i look fine without face paint because when you have hair a couple of inches long and tiny boyish facial features- people can mistake you for a boy if you are dressed androgynously. I havent had this happen since gaining a little weight and getting some breasts but back when i was a walking skeleton i looked like a short twink. When i had my hair nearly shaved i got called "Sir" quite frequently.

Moving on....as a kid i had jacked up teeth and i was overly thin and flat chested. All of this being a reason for ridicule. I got braces to help with the teeth but i was always insecure about the way i looked. I was never popular in school no matter how much i tried to look like the popular girls.

When i became a senior in highchool i decided to cut off my long hair and swim upstream. It did a lot for my self esteem but i still wore a lot of make up to try to look good. A rule of thumb is that the more make up you wear, the more insecure you are. The more fake you look, the more it screams to the world how unhappy you are with your natural appearance.

Pamela Anderson used to be my idol of beauty, now i find her repulsive. As i've learned a lot about inner beauty, self esteem and what most normal people find attractive, i've worn less makeup as a result.

I used to never leave the house without being entirely made up. I work a physical job where it would be useless to look all made up just to get covered in muck and have to shower as soon as you get home. It's nice now to just throw on some powder and lipstick and be done with it.

I aim to be attractive in a vintage beauty way. Paying more attention to looking classical and more natural, with a modern edge. I know my look isnt attractive to everyone and thats ok with me, now. I would much rather strive to be a "Beauty" over a "Hottie" any day!

Below is a picture of what i looked like when my husband met me when i was 18. I got more male attention looking this way because i had an air of confidence about me that typical cheerleader looking girls didnt have. Confidence in a woman is attractive.

People are always telling me how good looking I am, I don't listen to it because I don't want it to go to my head. I instead focus on how beautifull other people are, whether it be inner or outer beauty.

When I look in the mirror I see an average looking person.

If I'm out somewhere and a person looks at me I wonder why.
Do they think they know me? Do I look like someone they know?
Do they hate they way I look or like the way I look?

When I was younger, I wanted to look older. I hated being mistaken for a child when I was a teen, and a teen when I was well into my 20's. I've aged very slowly thanks to some good genes or whatever. When people meet me for the first time and take me for younger, it's a wonderful compliment. I was talking to a woman recently and she thought I was in my late 20's. She didn't say I was good looking, so maybe she thought I was young looking but ugly. :biggrin1:

I took down my avatar because someone said I looked like a man.

I've never seen your face, but your body is all woman.

You remind me of a sexier version of Annie Lennox and that lead singer from The Cocteau Twins.

I have been told that i have the greatest personality noone has said anything about my looks. The most ignorant comment i ever got was that i was so fat and discusting that i should kill myself. But i know i am beautiful cause my personality is what i look at in the mirror and not my body

I'm seriously shocked by this, there wasn't a better example of female beauty than your former avatar. You have a stunning face Dragonfly20 and don't lewt anyone else tell you otherwise because they are fools.
