Do you know (of) any professional athletes who don’t manscape?

A friend of mine had to miss a couple of games because he shaved his crotch and got an infection around his goods. I’ve heard of ingrown hairs being problematic, as well.

He said he would never manscape again while he was playing.

Is this a general rule among professional athletes? Have you seen a nude athlete who does or does not?

I'm deffinitely not the professional athlete, but had same kind of issue.. Normally skin "learns" for shaving and not get that infected later.. How ever if i shave 100% then comes some infections because boxefs/briefs "rubs" the skin. So nowadays i just shave my balls and rest of i leave 1 mm stubble, and i dont have any problems. Cutting just need to do little more often to keep manscale "clean"

I have spent time around rugby players, swimmers, gymnasts and cyclists.

Rugby players - a real mix, some shave, some don’t. No one worried about it
Swimmers - mainly go smooth or trimmed, to match their legs. Never known anyone to avoid it
Gymnasts - much the same as swimmers, although almost all I know shave fully
Cyclists - different here. Most avoid shaving because of the contact with the saddle and the risk of infections due to friction and sweat build up

There was a locker room picture of a full-frontal Steve Garvey on the internet about fifteen years ago. It looks like it's been scrubbed away in recent years. His bush was large and thick, his dick dangling below. I was pleasantly surprised when I first saw the picture.

I'm an ardent smoothie. Started it over 30 years ago when I had to do it for a vasectomy op. I liked the feeling of cleanliness and bare skin so much I just carried on doing it, almost daily. Apparently the main reason the body has hair is to reduce friction during sport and sex. I run a lot, and after a five miler in heat I've never had any soreness or infection. As for hair reducing friction during sex, I thought friction was the whole point or did I miss that lesson?

Leaving an ingrown hair alone does not solve the problem. See article's details:
14 Derm-Approved Tricks to Prevent Ingrown Hairs.
Article Excerpts: "An ingrown hair happens when a hair that should be growing out of its follicle and away from your skin reenters your skin instead, according to the Mayo Clinic. At that point, the hair might look like a hoop with both ends embedded into your skin. That’s a problem because it causes inflammation that can lead to solid or pus-filled bumps, pain, itching, a bacterial infection, hyperpigmentation, and possibly permanent scarring. Even if you remove the hair, it will continue to grow from these follicles unless you get* laser hair removal, which damages the follicles so they can’t produce hair..."

N.B. *The article gives suggestions other than laser hair removal too.

I would love to putt my mouth into all of those pubes, smelling his sweat around his crotch before I licked and sucked Garvey dry.
