Do you like ties?

When I was young, I enjoyed wearing them because no one else my own age did. I've always enjoyed being unique when it comes to appearance and demeanor. I wore them whenever it seemed appropriate.
Now that I'm older, I'd like to find the inventor of ties, and strangle him with his own invention.
(Fortunately, I don't need to wear them often).

I wear one to work most days. It doesn't bother me at all. Hardly notice it's there.
An attractive necktie is a good way to get compliments from women--which I like to get.

One thing I've noticed: if I'm tying a necktie in the presence of a woman, she always seems to watch intently. It's like they're getting an opportunity to see a part of a man's life that they're not usually privy to.

I wear them rarely, so I don’t mind them as much. Back when I had to wear them every day I hated them because they don’t really serve a purpose, and I don’t like feeling confined.

Every now and then , I like to wear a nice , well cut , suit , a fine quality silk tie & decent cuff-links . Add my beautifully polished dress boots , and I'm ready to go , usually to a casino , or high end music venue . Doesn't happen much these days , but when it does , I still get plenty of attention , which is nice

Repeat I hate ties. They are evil. If you have to go to court and there is a possibility of having to hit the bailiff or or the plaintiff, where a clip on.

Never use a double Windsor if you know there will be fisticuffs on that day.

I enjoy the feeling of wearing a nice, tailored suit on occasion, including a tie. And I feel every man ought to know how to put on a tie. But I’m very grateful I’ve never had a job requiring me to wear one daily. What a nuisance.

Wearing one to work says a lot about the type of work you do. When you think about it, their impracticality is directly related to class status. It’s a declaration to the world that your job does not involve any sort of manual labor.

Yes I wear ties often. Never worn a bow tie but I certainly plan on it very soon. If I can find the right one for the suit. Sometimes I think I've got too many suits and ties, but can one really have too many?

I do wear ties about 3-4 days a week and once in awhile if visitors are in my office, I wear them everyday. I own about 40 of them, plus several special occasion ties such as Christmas, birthday, Valentine’s Day , Saint pat’s, Easter, American flag etc
My only problem is eating with a tie on! I am a bit of a klutz with food and wearing a tie. My partner says that I am the only person he knows who can DRIVE by an Italian restaurant and end up with red sauce on my tie! Unfortunately, it is true. My dry cleaner loves me when I dress up!

It don't mind wearing a tie when appropriate, most of the occasions I wear a tie these days are unfortunately funerals though.

I have over 40 ties in my closet. Almost every newsroom I've ever been in required ties of some sort, and jackets when we were on assignment. I started wearing neckties over 20 years ago because they were much less intrusive when trying to work at a busy desk.

Being self employed now I wear a tie only when absolutely necessary.
