Lets say someone has a similar personality to the caracter "Gregory House" of the series Dr House, not all the way, but maybe a good 60%, is that being a jerk?

No not at all. My former coworkers used to call me Dr. House, I took it as quite a compliment.

I'd say so, but I do some people like that in real life. Crusty and always trying to get a rise out of people, but at heart a good person. I am fine with them - but yeah, it's jerk behaviour to me.

House is one of the sexiest guys on TV . . . but then, I have odd tastes.

Ye, he's a total jerk. Being unnecessarily assholic = being a jerk. But that's what gives him his special charm.

    I love Dr. House.

I find it hard to imagine you behaving like House!! You seem much too nice! Make sure you keep at least a little of the House personality around - you don't want to become a walkover.

It can be charming on tv, but actually dealing with a person who has a toxic outlook on life and deals with it in an acidic way get get old pretty quick. Thankfully we only take Dr House in one-hour increments. Beyond that, I would be very careful in constantly treating people in a way that might result in them walking the other way when they see you coming. Generally speaking, I think people prefer being treated with respect and kindness, and gravitate toward those who accomplish that.
