I noticed from European porn that most men shave or wax their underarms, although they may have a beard or hairy chests/bodies and pubes. Is this the expectations/standard in Europe, particularly Eastern Europe?

I discovered after three arm/shoulder surgeries that keeping the hair short decreased underarm odors.
During a three year span at the end of my university wrestling days I spent more time in rehab and slings than I spent out.

Yes. I’m hairy and keep everything trimmed short, but usually keep my armpits shaved clean. Sometimes, I get them waxed, but usually it’s just a few quick passes with a razor every few days.

Shave my pits every week or 2. My pit hair isn't very coarse, so I don't get itchy stubble,
Less stink. And I like the way it looks, especially because I spend most of my tie wearing tanks or muscle t-shirts

I have in the past - but hated the grow back itch - decided it was not worth that and have never since - after reading some of these - I may give it another shot - my hair is so fine and light, no one would notice but me anyway

Yes, you're right. While I lived in Romania, most of the guys, including myself shaved their armpits. Now, here in Spain, not really. You would see just a few guys shaved here, and as a matter of fact, I stopped too. Let's see where it leads hahah

Trim once a year or so down to around an inch.
It helps keep down the BO smell and makes them less tangly
