often after sex (god, that's old...and lame)!
Not since high school about 10 years ago
Have never smoked, never even tried it (well, uh, cigarettes anyway! :biggrin1: )
My mom was/is a heavy smoker (Camel unfiltered! ), and I saw how addicted she was when I was growing up, and never had any desire to start. She is very thankful that I was that way. She has since cut down on her smoking a lot and is trying to quit. I wish her the best of luck.
I'm OFFICIALLY a non-smoker Today....
I have been a 1/2 pack to 1 pack a day smoker since 1985, and I quit- COLD TURKEY, even, at 5 pm on Sunday and I haven't had a cig since!
I know it's still too early to tell, and that it will be a while before I can say I'm cured of nicotine addiction, at least I have my sense of smell back (lol!!!).
Besides.. there's an "Easter Egg" of sorts-
When a person quits smoking, their constricted blood vessels open up and allows for maximum bloodflow to critical organs.....
... yes, ladies and Gents- INCLUDING that one !!!
This is my 2nd reason for quitting-
what isthe first, you may ask?????
I kinda enjoy living...
No, I'm asthmatic. I have relatives I can't visit because they chain smoke in their homes. The last time I visited one particular cousin I had to take a shower and shampoo my hair immediately upon returning home. :frown1:
No, and I never will.
I was but quit cold turkey, ''3 years come November'' but on the odd day I still want one.
Yes, I'm a smoker. I'm sure I'll quit someday, but at this point in my life, I'm loving it.
With all information on how bad it is for you I cannot believe that anyone smokes these days. I understand it is an addiction but we have to draw a line somewhere, tobacco companies should be sued for the deaths that they have caused. I'm fully aware of how much they warn you but the advertising is so lucrative. It's no wonder so many kids smoke.
Nope, and now that I think of it, neither do any of my friends and family.
Smoking in teenagers is actually starting to decline, last I heard... when I was a kid, they didn't have any anti-smoking campaigns. I knew what it could do to me, but my father, mother, and brother smoked... and my best friends parents smoked... so I figured it couldn't be TOO serious otherwise they wouldn't do it... (I started when I was 12, so that was my mentality.)
im in the process of quitting so i only smoke when i go to the bar
Fuck no!!! Good luck to those in the process of those who are quitting.
I think a lot less kids must start smoking these days but when i was 16 while it wasnt the best thing to do it was never vilified like it is now, although you knew it was bad for you ther was never the publicity drive to tell you how bad it was and it was never banned anywhere, also i remember seeing advertisiments for cigars and such on tv so maybe thats why a lot of my generation still smoke, once your addicted its no easy task to quit.
yeah. what do you care
nope, i do drink beer though:smile:
I quit cold turkey over 5 years ago (set a quit date, chain smoked and drank that night til i puked) and haven't wanted one since.
