I've seen a lot of gays lately use zodiac signs and horoscopes to judge people and I think that's very toxic tbh. I think astrology can be fun in casual conversation but I don't understand why anyone uses it to assume people's personalities.
As someone once said: You should probably be less focused on his sign and more focused on the red flags.
I'm honestly curious about the people who are around you that have given you this impression. These are very solid answers so far. Nice to know that there are gays who don't take astrology to toxic extremes.

No one I know even cares about astrology, let alone using it as a basis to discriminate against others. I find that people that do discriminate, will use anything. So, if it isn't one thing, it will be another.
And I just don't have time for that. There are so many real things happening right now, and in general, that I don't get mired in pettiness.
Short answer: it's all a load of bollocks!
Honestly, I think it's embarrassing when people take zodiac signs seriously. Your personality is based on a combination of genetics and environment, not being a "cancer" or a "pisces" or a "capricorn". The language in horoscopes is always vague and broad to fit as many people as possible. "You'll meet someone new in your life" (how many people doesn't that apply to???!!!), "you'll face challenges this year" (again, how many people doesn't that apply to).
