To clarify this, do you think a black guy's opinion of a white guy's hottness/sexiness/handsomeness would be different from a white guy's opinion. It doesn't matter the race or ethnic group really; I'm just wondering if different ethnic groups view 'sexiness' and all that differently.

I'll use my situation as an example. I'm a white guy that's VERY hairy all over and I don't have a great body and my face is not what I'd consider handsome either. YET, I have a black boy friend whom I consider to be very sexy, has an athletic body and a nice face; and he thinks I'm sexy!

I don't know if its just that he's looked BEYOND my physical apperance OR if there is actually a 'different' viewpoint involved. I've had other black and Hispanic guys that were interested in me too, but not many white guys.
What i got from your question? You describe yourself to us (ME) That you are hairy all over with a below average body and you don't see yourself as attractive. On the other hand, your boyfriend who happens to be black finds everything you describe about yourself to be sexually attractive. I think this question is all about your insecurities. Forget the race of your dates and be happy someone likes you for just you.

Well thanks for the replies. We all like what we like and I guess sex can sometimes make for "strange bed-fellows"! Yes, I am and pretty much always have been insecure about my appearance and attractiveness. Most of my friends have been friends for a LONG time and I don't give a "hoot" about the way they look and I'm pretty sure that's how they feel about me.

BUT, it remains a fact that I've been much more attracted to black guys than any other race. I don't know why that is and I hope no one considers me to be a 'racist' because of it. When I was younger I lived in areas where there were very few black people. There were ONLY 2 black people in my entire high school which had several thousand students.

Once I moved to the South, I've lived in areas that have large numbers of black people. Once I started seeing them in the shower in gym and all that......
