Spitting - hell no
Olive oil - HELL no

Get off your ass, lick that pussy, and buy some lube.

you all tend to forget that oliva oil has the property to leave the skin really smooth, it was used by the greeks really often as well as milk for the skin.

Agreed. You see olive oil soap in stores all the time and yes, it can be very nourishing on the skin, as can avocado oil, almond oil, coconut oil and a host of other items found in the kitchen. I have used them on both my skin and hair before. I still don't prefer it for a lube though.

For the record, I am a huge fan of honey and frequently mix up various skin salves, remedies, scrubs and other concoctions with it and have no problem having it licked off of any part of me. Which brings us back to spit...

Jenna Jameson once said if she could give one piece of advice to guys out there it was:
"Don't use lube, use spit."

works for me...
but a lot of people find spit gross or disrespectful...
so its actually classified as a fetish now...
WTF??
I think its hot... XD

Spitting is not manly, it's gross--and I'm a man. It truly turns me off while watching porn. (If she's "having trouble with her glands," and your mouth is really watering, GO DOWN on her. Spitting at her is just lame.) If you're not feeling like going down, use lube, not olive oil or any other food product.

The best way to put saliva upon a woman is with your mouth directly. Or hers to your penis. Putting your own saliva on your own penis implies masturbation, and a partner does not like to be made to feel unnecessary.

Unlike many here I am an advocate of 'putting food on your bits' that way you know they are not poisonous, and it is nice to be ready for someone to eat me all up! Honey is a real turn-on anywhere, and the partner will have to lick me very well indeed to avoid stickiness, muwahaha.

I have had partners who believed strongly in olive oil and other vegetable oils, but eating too much oil is a laxative, so you must bear that inmind.

I saw her say the same thing on Oprah! She made a ton of porn movies so she must know what she is doing.
My husband always uses spit when we do a quicky and I am not fully wet. We have 2 small toddlers under 6yr old and sometimes you have to grab the sex when you can. Be respectful as long as your not making the disgusting spit sound go for it! Try oral sex on her first?

My biggest problem with oils in general is the consistency isn't very pleasurable to begin with. It's fine for jelqing and general vaginal massages (stay away from mineral oils), but the feel of my cock sliding in and out of an oil-laden vagina isn't as good as bottled lube. The water based stuff dries up/soaks in pretty quickly, but the silicone stuff lasts longer (about 45 minutes between applications).

Best lube, hands down, is my semen.

Oh, and good luck washing olive oil out of your sheets. Maybe it's me, but I find olive oil and menstrual blood difficult to wash off.

I can't believe I posted this drivel (appropriate pun intended)!

I'm an olive oil convert. To hell with the sheets, it's good for the skin, it doesn't irritate my wife (redheads are uber-allergic to a hell of a lot of things and olive oil agrees with her), and when we're done and I still want to lick her pussy... she tastes like a salad!!

ROFL :biggrin1:

I actually prefer spit to lube. Lube is all slimy and I end up slightly irritated whichever brand I use. And if they're going down on you, they'll leave spit behind anyway. What the fuck is the difference?

When swinging I use lube. I've always got a condom on and spit just doesn't do the job. When doing the wife I sometimes wipe saliva on my cock to start off, but wouldn't spit like they do in some porn - that's pretty disgusting.

Do me a quick favor next time you have sex, try it with a dab of oilive oil. My wife doesn't lubricate as copiously as she needs to, so we've been using the bottled variety for quite a while. Silicone lasted longest, we only needed to re-apply every half an hour or so. The olive oil works just as well, but it's a hell of a lot healthier when we absorb the stuff.

Clean up is nice too. Yum.

Of course, if you're using condoms, all bets are off. Stay away from oils.

ID moments makes a hypoallergenic lube that's water based. The only lubes I can use is this one and astroglide gel (but it only takes the smallest amount of astroglide.)

To be honest, I don't really need lube, except for anal. When I was with the Low-Sex-Drive-Ex we didn't even own any. And I've never bought any lube myself - my FBs take care of the lube and condoms, I take care of my pill. As I don't need it, I think my FBs just use lube out of habit. It seems to be part of the routine - condom on, lube on.

All my sex at the moment is with FBs, so it's condoms every time :frown1:. No experimentation with oil for me. That brings up a thought though - the irritation could be from the condoms rather than the lube.

I have no issue with someone using saliva as lube - don't think it works as well or as long as lube but to me it actually is better cause I know it won't be irritating.

Have you read the list of ingredients in commercial lube? You'd really rather have that in your body? Geez, I'm surprised anyone has oral sex anymore. You might get saliva on your genitals. Ewww. Or is it the spitting that's the problem? It's not disrespectful unless that's the intent, or if you BELIEVE that spitting is inherently negative.

Most condoms ARE lubed-with what, who knows. I haven't been able to find plain ones which I prefer for dildo use.

My wife is allergic to latex and any toys made with pthalates. As such, her toys are mostly from Fun Factory (they use hypoallergenic silicone) or steel (Njoy Pure Wand), and if she needs condoms they're of the non-latex variety. I don't know anything about this website, but these are the non-latex condoms I've seen on the shelves here:

Thank god someone else is allergic to latex. I found out after a drunk drive hit my car and I had to go through neck and back surgeries that the surgeries caused me to now have a latex allergy. I also became allergic to surgilube which every OBGYM office on the planet uses. They kept telling me I could not possibly be allergic to the surgilube but I felt like I had a 5 alarm fire in me after every OB visit. I just purchased a Lelo Ina and Tor both silicone. I never know how I lived without them! So I say spit is in.
