Not saying the place is problem free, but actually compared to the rest of the site we get very few reports from the chatroom. Like maybe one every couple weeks. Not enough to justify full-time moderation IMO. How many hours a day would you expect the chatroom mod to be there?
Even when a mod is there and sees a chat rule violation, a report has to be made and voted on by the full team. Minors and hate speech can get a temp room ban, but a report is still made. There isn't going to be any frontier justice in the chatroom or anywhere else here.
btw- the way the ten year old kids referred to were banned as soon as possible after your report, Inc. The records show that their membership started and ended on the same day. It wasn't the first time around for them either.
Please, when reporting a chat problem, take a screenshot. Most of the reports from there come in without one, but if they did have some evidence to backup the claim, the modding would be much swifter and fairer. In the case of the minors a couple days ago, the report was that some kids in the room were "getting hit on by adult members". But no evidence of which adult members was sent to the moderators; so whoever that was has gotten off scott-free. We need screenshots and even when a mod is in there, such as Kotch, they take one and file it with the report. It isn't hard to do.
This are my personal observations and opinions.
