Do you use the word cock or dick?

Hi! I saw on Twitter today someone mention that Cock is a gross word and Dick should be used instead. It was a black model who seemed to take offence to the word Cock and the BBC term. Now I've never heard anything like this. His rational was that Cock was a gross term to Black Americans.

This is all news to me. Can anybody shed some light on this? Or was this one person pushing their own personal beliefs on others?

If I were to use either one, I’d choose dick. My wife uses dick. She says cock is too pornographic.

But I’m more likely to use something else. Schlong, tool, whatever.

I use: Penis when I'm talking about small appendages
Dick for average and just above
Cock for anything about 7"

And If I'm talking dirty to someone or if I'm sexting. I will start off by saying what a nice dick he has. But work up to using cock IF I want to get him worked up.
Penis is more of an SPH thing for me. And before you ask? Small Penis Humiliation

I look at this very similarly. For me it has nothing to do with race, it has to do with size. Because mine is small, I refer to it as a penis. Both of my wives had been with very well endowed men. I referred to their endowment as cocks. With my second wife, it turned her on when I referred to her former lover's manhood as his huge cock.

Dick and penis for nonsexual conversation and cock for sexual.

Vagina for nonsexual and pussy for sexual. Is there a nonsexual female word similar to dick? Can't think of one besides vadge, but that's just short for vagina isn't it?

I use both. Kind of depends on the guy I'm with. Most men don't care what you call it as long as you can make it hard and make it cum. I've found that some men don't really like their member called a cock however and they are usually ethnic guys. Not all but some black men think cock means small and prefer theirs be called a dick and vice versa with white men.

I use lady bits as a non sexual word for discussion

I use both. my wife and previous gfs mostly used "dick". my wife said "a cock is a chicken...and that is not a chicken". I find I use "cock" more around guys. like if somebody is giving you shit, and you say "suck my cock!" . it's just sounds meaner and rougher/tougher.

This is interesting to me. "Dick" implies to me something slightly comic. "Don't be such a dick!" is a something people say; does anyone say "Don't be such a cock"?
"Cock" is more forceful and sexual, I would say.
I might say "suck my dick" to someone where the sex is somewhat distant, like a hook-up. But it if were with a partner, I'd say "suck my cock".
There's a sub group of men who identify as "bators"--that is, masturbators who like to get with other dudes whose primary if not sole purpose is to masturbate together. That group, in my experience, prefers the clinical terms like penis, testicles, etc. Something about the scientific nature of it appeals to them. I have had two encounters with guys like that, and since talk is a big part of sex for me, I like seeing how whispering in their ear "Look at your fucking PENIS. Yeah, I'm masturbating that penis..." really makes them crazy.
I can see why that kind of terminology wouldn't appeal to most guys, but for that one subculture, it's a huge turn on.

It's hardwired in my brain to use the clinical term "penis" especially when I'm masturbating because it just arouses me so much and I'd say I use it mostly 80%, especially online, but then with hookups I usually change it to my dwarf "COCK" since I get more so sexually charged
