I do. Usually in the living room and sometimes on my bed.

Growing up I didn't, we sat at the kitchen table. As I got older I think I used to take the food to my room to eat and watch TV at the same time.

Now my parents have a TV in the kitchen.

Once in a while. Often I make a large bowl of popcorn, and it serves the purpose and answers the question.

You had a table and a kitchen? What type of obscene wealth were you raised in?! Next you'll tell me you had your own bed!

Growing up, we were rarely allowed to watch television to begin with-it was something of a luxury item and was limited to evenings after dinner (6-p.m. to some time after that, depending on how fast we ate, cleared the table and washed the dishes on our assigned day. We had 7 people in the apartment on average and each of us was assigned one day. As we aged and left (well as my siblings left, as I was the youngest) my mother and grandfather absorbed those days). The television was shut off at 10-p.m. Dining while it was on was not allowed. If we desired food, it was a choice of taking our food to the outdoors or to wherever the dining table was. The alternative option was starvation.

These days I do it all. I watch television only in the bedroom and often eat some food. If there's a big news story unfolding, or a really good movie it happens and the customary pint of ice cream a few times per month. I also eat while writing and when on the internet.

Every night I'm home. Otherwise I would be eating dinner at a coffee table staring at a turned-off tv.

Same here, One day perhaps I might decide to invest in some chairs for my dining room table. But until that day, and quite probably afterwards as well I'll be watching TV while eating dinner sitting on the couch.

I rarely watch tv now but when my kids were little I watched much more tv, but meal times were never centred around the tv, they were always a time when we were all together to enjoy a time when we could all have a nice natter :)
