Doctor in Raleigh/RDU Area for a real Physical

Hey guys,

The past few years I've been really disappointed in my yearly physicals and have been trying to find a new doctor. The issue is a lot of the time the nurse takes my vitals, then the doctor will come in, ask me if i have any concerns, then be gone in 5 minutes.

This is frustrating for me, and I don't think I should have to request to get a full, thorough physical. I was hoping for more of a family practice type situation as opposed to a large medical center.

Any recommendations would be HUGELY appreciated. Feel free to dM me.

Not sure if you are a veteran, but if so check the VA in Durham. I switched over a few years ago. Care is unmatched in area. My first primary physical lasted 2 hours after which they sent me to specialist over the next week. They have walked me through several issues and give me follow up calls for weeks after a procendure. Best care in the triangle area.

Women deal with this constantly.
make an appointment specifically for a full physical and blood work up. An annual exam.
I have had far better luck in offices run by DOs, even when an MD saw me.
it’s a philosophical difference in Osteopathy that the whole person is seen and treated, not just symptoms.
