I have to goto the Doctors for my yearly physical and I was wondering if I should grow the hair back on my balls and rectal area since I have always had it there for all of my other physicals in the past do you think if I keep it shaved the Doctor will ask me why or make me feel embarrassed?

A doctor should NEVER make you feel embarassed. And I'm pretty sure he has seen many guys who are shaved. Most guys these days at least 'trim'. Keep it how you are comfortable

Basically, it's your choice whether to grow back or not, but if your Dr. tries to make you feel embarrassed about it, I'd be finding a new Dr.

Now that's not to say that he may not ask relevant questions, "How do you shave?", "Any rashes, issues, etc?", but that's his job.

Don't worry. Answer any legitimate questions, so that he can make an appropriate analysis.

I doubt if it will come up or even be an issue. It is not something connected to a medical issue, so he would have not reason to bring it up.
Forget it...and be comfortable with who you are...

PS...I am interested in what happens...

They shave a patient before surgery. If the Dr. says anything, just tell him you were prepping for him.

I was at my doctor and he said "Nice trim." But then, he's gay.

I had the same issue a few years back and decided to not shave right before I went so it did not look like I did it for him. I had a bit of stubble on my balls and ass. I had my pubes trimmed short and I was ok with it. I did get uneasy when I had to go in unexpectedly just after shaving everything off, so I did feel uncomfortable but he did not say anything.
My Dr did say that my balls were smooth at my last visit, and they were shaved the day before!

I just had a recent doctor visit at my urologist. I keep myself trimmed very closely and my balls completely shaved. He has examined me several times and has never made a comment either way. I'm sure he hase seen it all.

Like bulldog said, he's probably seen it all. The only time a doctor ever said anything about my pubes to me was when I was just going through puberty and I was experimenting with shaving them and what not (I think I was 15/16). He just wanted to make sure that hair was growing and that I was developing lol. But if you've already gone through puberty and everything developed as it should....you should be fine!

My doctor has seen me shaved, trimmed, whatever and never made any comment. My dermatologist (a woman) commented about the shaved arms and chest once, but it was in a joking "all you gym guys who shave..." sort of way.

If you'd be embarrassed by what your doctor (or anybody else) might say, then you're not comfortable with your own decision. If you like the way you look and feel, own it, don't hide it.

Doctor's are weird, lol but you do what you feel dude. Your doctor really shouldn't have a reason to ask you why, and while they will see it and may have thoughts about it, it's really none of their business.

I think as long as you show up clean you're safe. I'm sure they'd rather see a shaved guy who's clean than a guy who's going natural and has cum crust or smegma all over...

BAHAHAHA! so gross but that made me laugh.

I say keep it shaved. especially if the ONLY reason you're thinking about growing it back is just for them

I had shaved my balls and the hair was growing back when I went in for a consult on a vasectomy and when the specialist looked at them I asked him if I should shave my balls and he said no you already trim, you should be fine.
