So I was at the dermatologist today having some moles checked. The medical assistant tells me to strip down to my underwear so the nurse partitioner can do a full body check.

I strip down, and maybe ten minutes later the medical assistant and the np walk in. The ask some questions, then start the exam.

Starts at the feet, slowly checking up my legs. When she gets to my crotch she asks me to stand up and take off my boxers. I thought this was a bit strange but I didn't question her.

She then proceeded to check my shaft and balls very closely, making a comment that it's so much easier to check "men who trim."

So here's my question, is this normal procedure? Is there a reason for their to be both an NP and medical assistant in the room? Does a mole check include someone fondling your balls and cock?

Now, I'm not complaining, both women were rather attractive and I love attention so there's no harm, no foul as far as im concerned but I'm just wondering if this is normal.

Yes it is! be very thankful that they want to check you out all the way. If you trim, then they can see everything.

Yup. My doctor told me that some patients' skin cancer started there.

Better safe than sorry...

Several years ago I had a mole pop up in the pubs area - rather suddenly and the size of a dried pea (lentil). I was celibate at the time but it annoyed me so I went to a dermatologist to have it removed. He did so and then asked if I wanted to be checked for moles. I said yes since my mother has a lot of issues with moles. I was already naked but covered so he checked me from my hair line to my toes and back up again. I felt so exposed, so vulnerable, but at the same time safe. He had a good way about him. Nurse was in the room the whole time of course. Got to be chaperoned.

I have an age spot that has changed so I have to go and get it checked, will probably go for the full body scan again since the number of moles on me has increased.

i knew a guy who went to the urologist for an exam while he was a teenager. during the exam he had an involuntary orgasm and shot cum everywhere. the doctor freaked out and immediately called in a nurse as a witness or something (in case of any claims of misbehavior). so i am sure that must be the reason for having a second person in the room during these kinds of exams.

personally, i would ask just tell the doctor that i prefer not to have an audience and ask that the nurse please leave for my own privacy and comfort level.

As a woman, even if the doctor is female there needs to be a female nurse or assistant in the room with us unless I am fully dressed. I think it is a really strict law or something. I don't know if that same rule applies to men.

when I go to the derm, i get an exam from head to toe and the medical assistant is in the room taking notes that that doctor is dictating on things she wants to keep an eye on. Last time I was asked if it was okay for a medical student to be in the room as well

In Australia, if you see the doctor you dont get some nurse hanging around for a look

The only exception is gynecology procedures where a nurse is present.

Pretty much the same deal when I get my annual skin check at the dermatologist. (I've only had it done the past few years. I started after a skin cancer grew beside my eye. I was ignoring it, til I just happened to meet a dermatologist washing my hands in the men's room and he suggested I make an app't with him.)

I go in the exam room, strip naked, and eventually the doc (male) comes back in, usually with a PA or a student (So far, they've always been female) who takes notes while he does the exam. I usually stand, while he uses a magnifying glass to take a look-see. He's very particular about examining every inch of my skin, from my fuzzy head to the soles of my feet. He's found a few pre-cancerous things that have been cut out, but so far only the one cancer.

I want him to be thorough, and I'd hate to think he missed something cancerous because I was modest about revealing my genitals, or any other part of my body.
