Well said.  I guess I owe the site an apology.  By that last comment I meant that it wouldn't bug me if everyone thought I was really hung, when in reality I wasn't.  If people are going to assume that, oh well- I would be comfortable with my size whatever it was.  I just took that thought as it would apply to a whole group of people.

Imagine being black and small. Everyone expecting you to be huge and then have that turn to pity when you're not. If you're not, there's a chance of ridicule and possibly an awkard feeling as if there is need to explain why you're not hung, as if you have control over it. That would be a traumatic blow to a guy's self esteem.

It's genes and isn't all bound to race. It is mainly a stereotype, plus, most black guys who are 5-6" are not going to show off as much as the 8-9" guys. It has been said that blacks on average have larger flaccid penises; however, even that is not always true.

If people are going to assume they're hung and they're not, not everyone will or needs to know, so it's not going to be a problem. However, if the significant other expects it; then that will be the biggest disappointment for them.

I guess the black guy who isn't large flaccid or erect is just cursed.

It's that kind of viewpoint that's part of the problem. The only thing worse than being stuck with a stereotype is considering oneself a failure (or 'cursed') if he can't live to that stereotype. So not all black men are hung, but guess what ... having a big cock is a not a prerequisite to being a proficient sexual partner! Size queens aside, there are many modestly endowed men of all races out there who are sexual dynamos. Anyone who rejects sexual encounters based on cock size 'deficencies' is very likely missing out on some terrific sex.

Well, the problem with penis size and race, just like the old "brain size and race" claim (which I don't buy for a minute), is fallacy of division.

Interestingly, the tallest people in the world are the Tehuelches (208 cm) and the shortest are the Yanomamo (147 cm). And both are South American Indians. (Heights are average male heights.)

two_fister: ...after doing some research on the subject, here's what I've found...........one of the reasons this "myth" is still around may have to do with the fact that we(black men) have more of a tendency to me "showers" than most white males.........another reason may be that while there's not much of a overall difference in penis size between the races......it does seem like there are a larger number of black men who are larger than average.

I agree with Two_Fister, i think black guys just don't get as soft/small as white guys. they don't shrink down as much.

i've seen a few hung white guys in the locker room.... but normally it's a black man... not a white guy.

You CAN get a good idea about the flaccid length of the penis by race: Measure the length of the limbs of the appropriate race compared to the height, to get the proportion of the length of the penis compared to height. (This is for climate factors.) Now multiply by height. (This is for nutrition.)

Which makes us ask: What's a race? Are there two? Three? Four? Five? Six? Eight? Eleven? Twelve? Fifteen? Twenty-six? Thirty-five? Sixty? Sixty-three?

I'm talking about degrees of adaptation, actually. I'm just getting an idea. Proportion of armspan to height is usually a good way to tell how warm the climate one's ancestors were from is. Usually, ppl from cold environments, such as Alaska, Scandinavia, or Tierra del Fuego, will have a greater percentage of body fat as well.

All of that has to do with surface area/volume ratio and thermodynamics.

Height's less fixed, and has more to deal with food you had as a child. Height, if you're also thin, can also be an adaptation to heat, but if you have a great degree of fat, it's an adaptation to cold. (Short and stocky is the ultimate adaptation to extreme cold, like Inuit [Eskimos] or Sami [Lapps].)

It typically shows up on zoology or anthropology tests, now that it's known that racial features are a response to the environment, rather than separate, immutable species. Penis size itself isn't on there, mind you, but rather the racial features anyone can find.

You can tell that racists have run out of tricks, though: The infamous book The Bell Curve is basically the old "brain size" argument with a corollary for penis size and fertility. LOL

It seems I remember a survey done by Kinsey or M&J that had a graph charting sizes based on race. The chart compared black and white males. The lines were pretty close all along the chart with black men being slightly larger. However since at the time of the survey -- late 40s early 50s??-- the men they got to answer this question all went to college the number of respondents who were black probably was smaller and I wonder if they adjusted the results to reflect this. And since there were no blue collar men, of any race, in the survey it didn't reflect the largest part of the population at the time anyway.

My experience, while limited to only a few black men, would indicate that size is all over the chart. The two men with the biggest cocks I've seen were white (one was the width and length of two beer cans and the other was my friend who's dick is the size of a forearm and wider then his fist for it's full length). But of the black men I've been with, while not being that big (not counting porn pics I've seen), they weren't anything to sneeze at either.

So I guess what it might come down to is...if the man you're in bed with has a bigger dick then you, and he's black, then that black man has the larger penis.

Don't mean to be flippant but one decade black men could be bigger on average and then another decade depending on death rates, etc. Indians or Chinese, much less white men, could top the chart.
