You must have the patience of a monk, you`re a pillar of strength transformer.
Once i see the first one in a series i can`t help but get sucked into the 2nd and 3rd, even if they suck.

I don't think I would've seen the first one, had it not been for a night of visiting relatives and dvd rentals. The last movie I saw in a movie theater was "In God's Hands". It was the final bad experience at a movie theater for me. Went something like this. Paid $ 8 or so to go to a theater and hang out with people that were simply rude. Talked on their cell phones thru the majority of the movie, Others, well, some people can't eat in public and that goes for the noises they make chewing and the mess they create and leave on the floor and chairs. Then add they don't throw the empty container away and I refuse to sit in a theater to watch a movie ever again in my lifetime.
That was when I invested in my first and so far only, dolby home theater system. Sporting events are similar for me. I do have cable so I refuse to ever rent or buy a movie when I'm being charged $ 60 a month for cable. And I have no desire to duplicate one on dvd or even buy one from Wal-Mart. The inventory of plastic discs would drive me nutz and I've got too much software on cdr's as it is. Another reason, I just have no rational explanation for why I would want to be around crowds of people that I wouldn't invite into my own living room and deal with the whole event ordeal. Tell me there's going to be an event held for the masses and that's the last place you'll find me spending my leisure time.
Later tonight, I plan to shut down all my electronics and go out and skywatch. No drugs, no traffic, just enjoying the still of the night in peace and quiet.
As for the sequels, Rocky 5 will cure your need to ever go see another sequel. I understand Rocky 6 came out a year or so ago, it'll be on cable eventually/sometime, that's if I accidentally run into it while surfing the cable channels. If I see it, it'll be purely accidental coincidence, although Comcast will bring it into my home as part of the cable package I subscribe to.
