Does anyone else think dildos are misleading

I notice the last time i was at my local sex toy store a collection of dildoe, which was right across from the pumps and fleshlight products, that a lot of dildos being sold are unrealistically big. Like 7 inch girth thick and 8 to 12 long.
I talked with a friend and this subject came up where he basically said women need to stop using these toys as they stretch out the vagina making it less tight. So I got to thinking does anyone else think that the sex toy industry is getting a little out of hand by selling monstrous toys? For the ladies do you use these toys or avoid them for the more moderate Mr. Average sized dildoe.

You think there are a lot them? Compare the number of available large toys to the number of available toys under 7". The <7" toys greatly outnumber the larger ones. The 6" and 6.5" toys alone would probably outnumber all other sizes put together.
