Does anyone experience increased libido at the onset of/recovery from illness?

Just started getting sick last night and horny as hell. Thought of this thread. Nico once again is correct.

Sick (sniff) and horny.
When will ya just admit that 9 out of 10 times, on weird little random observations, I am right?:biggrin1::tongue::wink:
Afterwards, yeah, cause if I'm ill for a week and I don't do my thing?
Oh afterwards is like "must...fuck...NOW!!!!!" lol
I am not even remotely horny when I am ill. Sex is the last thing in the world I think about.

While not really an insightful read, this question was asked on Yahoo Answers and a few people offered the idea that guys get horny when ill because it's a comfort and makes them feel good. *shrug*

Why do I get horny when I am sick? - Yahoo! Answers
See, in the midst of it, i am not horny. It is at the onset, and then recovery, that it goes up. Like, low grade fever, I am rock hard, and wanting to fuck. High fever? Hell, no! At that point I ache, my skin feels like 80 grit sandpaper has been run over it, and I am usually nauseous to boot, and that NEVER makes me want to have sex! Sore throats, ironically, make me crave sucking cock.
It makes sense, orgasm causes a release of chemicals which to the brain and body are very euphoric. Perhaps subconsciously your self medicating.
I think it may be beyond that. I think somewhere, in a persons reptile brain, is the imperative to mate, especially if there is a good chance that you may croak soon. Never mind that a cold PROBABLY won't do you in, but you bdy over-reacts and says "I needs ta reproduce NOW!!!!!", even if, for me for example, sex will seriously not result in continuing progeny.

I will have to go back through the thread, but I wonder if the majority who feel horny at the onset (or even during) are males, where the females are not (or feeling it mostly when illness is leaving)...
