Does anyone know the name for the piece of skin which connects the foreskin to the glans.?

I went to Casualty today following an accident last night.
I told the receptionist that I'd torn my fraenulum and that it had become detached.
There was a little confusion because apparently that is also the name for the piece of skin holding down the tongue.

The doctors advice was to keep it exceptionally clean, and to abstain from sex for a few days. It doesn't need to be stitched back (thankfully) but I may opt to have cosmetic surgery in the future.

frenulum in the state.. means "little bridle" in latin, any thin webbing of flesh.. so the same word for both body parts.

hmm if you search ya can find a few dudes with the same ouch. most said leave it be, it'll heal.. and will heal a bit looser, so less the chance of ripping again.

cosmetic? like removal or reattachment? cuz the boy is mighty fond of his  not sure he's want it gone.

Thread hijack ahoy, but I pretty much didn't have one before hand. I had something done when I was very young, and it was actually only recently that I found out that the process probably involved removing it.

For ages here I never understood why people would enthuse about how awesome it is to have their frenulums played with, when for me that area was kinda more irritable than anything.

    Thanks for that Endued.
Not quite a Hijack I think, but an interesting and relevant piece of information.

    I thought everyone had one.!
(except those who have been circumcised maybe)

@Mr. Endued - hmm missing frenulum.... aliens!! aliens are abducting frenulum.

@Jojo - frenulum preputii penis, maybe? a super fancy name for frenulum. the doc might have mention frenulum breve? juts means tight/short frenulum.. often tears during sexual activity. can be treated with manual stretching or surgery.

I would imagine that "hey doc, I think I broke my dick" would get the general message across. :biggrin1:

I have a friend who pierced his frenulum himself.Took three stages , with healing time between each stage, to get the hole big enough to fit his finger through. Now a tongue tip goes through it ( mine for example) and he finds it gives him a terrific feeling licking the corona with the tip of the tongue because that action also pulls on his glans. Not yet checked you photos jojolongdong but I wonder if you are actually lucky to have a torn frenulum in the long run?
