Does anyone know the name for the piece of skin which connects the foreskin to the glans.?
I went to Casualty today following an accident last night.
I told the receptionist that I'd torn my fraenulum and that it had become detached.
There was a little confusion because apparently that is also the name for the piece of skin holding down the tongue.
The doctors advice was to keep it exceptionally clean, and to abstain from sex for a few days. It doesn't need to be stitched back (thankfully) but I may opt to have cosmetic surgery in the future.
