Does commercial porn suck, and amateur porn rule?

Commercial porn to me is choreographed, fake and plastic. It's essentially sex mixed with acting. Amateur porn seem more real and in the flesh, so to speak. There is no acting, no choreographed scenes, no directing, etc. and is more reminiscent of real life sex.

Do you prefer amateur porn to commercial porn, or even vice versa?

the glossed nature of professional porn is a turn off IMO. Besides, professional porn caters for all segments/target markets. It largely is the big budget professional porn that features the hottest models. BBW porn is hit and miss also, as are granny porn or any other niche genre.

I just can't get over the "watching" aspect of watching porn. I want to be thinking about how sexy a scene is, not how I wish the camera would stop shaking cause the guy filming is too busy beating off to film, or how the angle is wrong, or that I can't see because the zoom or focus or a million other things are askew. I will concede that pro porn is plastic and repetitive, I will concede that fetishes are poorly catered-to. That said, I still prefer something I can see and hear.

Amateur movies seem to be a recent fad now that everyone has a camera phone or webcam on their computer. They have way more variety than professional productions do as people can really let their freaky side show. However, that doesn't mean that its always pretty to look at. Commercial companies will never let out something that won't sell or have actors that don't give you wood. And these companies are now picking up on people's fetishes, and realizing that porn is more than just the lonely housewife and the repair man. My vote would be for the commercial professionals that pick up college kids or people with particularly perfect bodies and have them filmed in an amateur setting. I can relate better when there's not script.

Sometimes it's not just the sex or act that has been captured in film, sometimes it's the scenario that adds to it, a scenario one would see in amateur porn.

For instance there are a decent number of Cuckolding videos with Shane Diesel and a few other famous type porn actors and actresses. The whole idea of these videos is that there is a white guy who is watching his wife cheat on him with Mr. Diesel or another huge dicked black dude-- under various circumstances of course, and I doubt if any of those circumstances have happened more moderate number of times.

But I don't like a lot of the women in professional porn; I like my girls or guys to look real, like someone I could actually meet in the street, not like some puffed up teased out super model with stationary tits. And some of the guys look like nothing more than crispy, muscle headed, college dropouts who got lucky because they aren't "Ugly" and were born with a big dick.

Good thing to lean back on, like wrestling for injured athletes.

Sometimes Amateur porn can be boring or badly paced or sometimes the girls or guys are just too unattractive for me to get off to.

I have seen some ugly dick thanks to amateur porn.

And don't say I'm shallow... it's porn.

For me, it's pretty much even - I love the 'realness' of amateur porn but the production qualities can often be terrible because of the low (or no) budget. Professional may be a bit too polished for some people, but decent lighting and decent picture quality are reasonable expectations for our dollar.

I like the men of both amateur and professional. They are both hot in different ways. Professional men are (mostly) in good physical shape - well toned, muscular, handsome and of course, swinging big meat. Amateur men often have a 'natural' sexiness about them - not 'superstar' looks but still handsome. A bit of body hair, maybe even a slight belly. I've gotten that way recently. I trove for amateur more than commercial porn. With commercial porn, I feel like the actors are faking, like they're making all that noise and not even enjoying it the way they sound like they are. In fact, I watched a video of a porn shoot about the female actor telling the producers and others around that she couldn't feel the male actor when he was inside her. But then the clip flips to the actual porn scene and she's screaming and hollering about how big he is and how she "feels" him deep inside her. That kinda solidified it for me.

I understand that commercial porn is just that - for commercial purposes and gain. So there needs to be certain elements that create a visual reality for those watching to WANT to watch it and (hopefully for them) pay for it.

With amateur porn, the sex is "real". Yes, there can be very bad angles, lighting, sound, etc. But it's real. The sights and sounds are real. I love it.
