I second Nick, but since English is not my first language, either, I will venture to respond. :wink:
In my particular case, I am older than 50, but younger than 60, and I still get boners, all the time, if you want to know, and I can also have wet dreams now and then.
I know other men in my age bracket who are capable of the same.
Primarily it depends on your physical health. I am sure that even into eighties you can get a boner, provided that you take care of your body.

you should begin learing chinese becouse 1 billion ppl around the world speak it and just 380 mio ppl around the world does it with english.
any my english-teacher says ever "take it easy" english is a easy language (kind of for ppl they not so smart) - not so heavy like german

I don't think your teacher is right. I find English spelling, pronunciation and idioms very difficult. It may be easy for simple situations, but then again any language is easy for simple situations.
As for your latest question, the answer is probably "no, not any longer like younger men." But I very very often have a morning wood and will have a wet dream if I go without sex or masturbation for a long time.
Anyway, it heavily depends on the individual. There may be a slight difference in frequency (how often), but I would say most men who look after themselves will maintain a very decent sexuality until the end of their days.
40 is so fecking old. wet dreams??? I haven't had a wet dream in 40 yrs, if I get the urge to fuck while sleeping, my wife takes care of it. at 57, I still get morning wood sometimes, but at the same time I have trouble getting it up sometimes.

There can be many reasons that young men cannot acheive or attain an erection (e.g., spinal cord injuries, depression, extreme stress, etc.)

As for me @ 42, I am still going strong although I can never recall having a wet dream. I'm sure I've had them but do not recall.

I agree; I'm in my mid-50's and in good physical health and exercise regularly. I have no problems getting good hard erections although I occasionally have trouble getting it up sometimes. But once in I am able to last long enough to satisfy my partners. Age isn't the issue.
