Yes.
Hollywood will always use "popular" politics and propaganda to get more views.

"Inclusiveness" is a must now and if you won't promot it, even when logic tells you that having gay, lesbian, transgender, black, asian, muslim ect. in one movie where probability of this kind of diversity is still not that high, is almost weird and creates uncanny setting, you will be cancelled.

In the past, it used to be the token Jewish or African American character. These days it's the token lesbian or gay character. It's almost like subconsciously inoculating LGBTQ+ tolerance to the masses.

A bigger shift is actually shoehorning female characters as the protagonist of the show. Disney Marvel in particular.

I just finish with my kid "Lightyear", The captain of Buzz is an Afro-American, lesbian married to a lesbian Spaniard with adopted black kid.

Nothing wrong with that, but it's the only relation in the movie, those it have to be the representation of the less then 1% of the population?

I challenge you to find a movie or a tv series where there is no lgbt representation. It's not a novelty anymore, I feel hoolywood is trying too hard.

My question, how those this representation affect you?
Their live style is being pushed on the public. They want everyone to believe like them or else they will demonize you.

When you grow up consuming (because films are for consumers) only straight white capitalist vision and norms of society : you think that s the only way it should be, and if you are different you beleieve you are the monster!
Does this help?
Also, it helps those heteronormative people to think or even consider that the planet and the society isn’t only theirs : it creates a mind of inclusion…
I hope this also helps
Forcing ? Mmm maybe because they are also fighting consumerism so they don t give yet enough room for the characters : like the person of color character included in first movies only to die first? Etc etc

It's not like homoerotic tv dramas have been a staple in east asia for about 60 years, nono this is a new world just because a couple of americans recently found out that some guys like to smooch each other from time to time.

Representation is ok but it has to be done for the right reasons.

I often hear: you have to see yourself in the video. Or finally I feel seen and represented. That is rather a thing that psychopaths would say.

I watch a lot of soccer and I heard nobody saying that they have to see themselves in a soccer team to support them. You can support Ghana as a white person. You can support England as an Asian and you can support Morocco as a Black person. That is just basic understanding and the fun of sport or movies. You can empathize with everybody and care for every person in the movies.

They can represent people, but they should not concentrate their advertisement on it, if it has nothing to do with the story. IT should be common sense that you can empathize with everybody nomatter what identity they have and that you can see yourself in everybody. That makes a good story.

Hollywood is also not trying hard. They dont care about representation. They (Disney) ban those LGBTQ films or LGBTQ scenes in Muslim countries and they banned a Black person from the movie poster in China.

They want money not representation.
