You know the idea that people with a ring on the finger get hit on more. If anyone remembers the Seinfeld episode where George experimented with the idea with fantastic results.

I have this old ring that I just started wearing again, but I wear it on the right hand. I was wondering what would happen if I switched it to my left, if I would get noticed more or something.

    Any thoughts? Anyone tried this?

I think it goes with the feeling that the guy that is married is able to commit. Who knows, I just know that besides the Seinfeld episode, I've heard that rumor a few times.

I always look for a ring. But that is so I don't hit on him.

Well you know there are some girls out there that steal married men for sport. But you are obviously the type of girl a guy should be looking for.

Perhaps its not really the physical ring itself that serves to attract but rather some other ethereal qualities that result from being in a committed relationship such as confidence, honesty and communcation ability.

I couldn't imagine stealing a guy for sport. People are too bored for their own good.

Why on earth would you want to mess around with someone who would hit on you despite the fact that you're wearing a "wedding ring." Is that REALLY the kind of person that you want to be around? Personally, I think it's unbelievably skanky.

And contrary to popular belief, sit coms don't exist to teach people about the "real world"... :biggrin1:

(Sorry to moralize. This might be a nice fantasy, but in the real world... I don't think so.)
