However, in repose I'm told my features can look kind of severe or 'upset' which couldn't be further from the truth. I can be sort of serious and reflective internally and I philosophylize a lot in my head when I'm not concentrating on more immediate pleasures. I weigh things out a lot and I see lots of greys, where other people are more content with blacks and whites, before I come to a decision. So I have to think longer and harder sometimes, perhaps.
Hey, I have the same problem. I can be walking along or just sitting and thinking and a friend will ask me, "What are you angry about?". I'm like, "What? I'm not mad" and they say, "You look mad". My ex said the same thing many times until she got use to it. I furrow my brow and get an intense look on when I'm thinking deeply.
But really I don't know if my looks match my personality. I am kind of a take charge guy, in a friendly way. In work situations, other people tend to defer to me (sometimes more than I'd like). I don't yell much or get angry, but I can be kind of domineering at times. I think my body matches that, but I'm can't say if my face does.
I would say people looks, coupled with body language does reflect what's going on inside a person. Not every time, but enough that it comes out in how we react to and treat others.
Interesting question Earl.
