cats can be cool...but a dog is my favorite-not the small frilly type, but a large dog like a lab or german shepard.

Same as the last time this was asked; it depends on the sauce.

Cats. I have a very unpredictable schedule and I would feel neglectful if I couldn't take a dog for a walk or two every day or give it enough playtime. Cats are a little more self-sufficient emotionally, I think.

Although, I don't know nearly enough about dogs and maybe I just never met the right one lol

In five weeks I get my Shepard puppy! He is so cute, his eyes just opened yesterday!

A family of cats has taken up residence in the back garden. Mama cat's nest is under the porch and sometimes if the window is open she comes in and just sits there watching the stupid human poking at the keyboard.

Used to be a dog person, but they become like children for 12+ years. Cats will at least do their own thing without the constant attention. Granted they both require maintenance, but a cat needs less attention.

I like both cats and dogs.
I like the larger breeds of dogs with my favorite being Rhodesian Ridgebacks.
I own a Silver Bengal Cat called Shithead and ours is very much a love-hate relationship.

I like both dogs and cats, but have minor allergies to cats. Can't keep them. Have one outdoor cat. Keeps the dogs busy.

I have to go with cats for the simple reason that they don't need walking or other maintenance - same reason I'm not into kids or clingy girlfriends. I think I have issues with being depended upon.

I'm bi-pet-ual. One dog. Two cats. All mixed breed critters from rescue organizations.

I have shared my home with some cats who have wonderful personalities, sadly they have not survived, the only one here now is a bit of a couch potato.

I like either a cat or large dog. I just hate small little dogs, I can't stand them.

I like both dogs and cats, but I'm so flaky with caretaking that I probably couldn't keep a dog! I have enough trouble taking care of my cat. :biggrin1:

So, for me, cats for the "low maintenance" reason...
